Tingin ko kaya sir kaya lang stick ako sa strategy ko, which is 60% ang iniinvest ko.

US 1 Million in today's value by the time i turn 60...which is 19 years from now.

Galingan ninyo sa financial journey rin ninyo.

Yep, kape tayo pag-uwi ninyo mga sir. Mahabang kuwentuhan tayong lahat niyan.

Hahaha, Doña Neville? Kaloka kayo. :D :D

With the inforgraph, I'd Pick VUL First especially if your still in your 20's since mas mababa pa ang premium na binabayaran mo compared when you're older (I pay mine at 80K Annually with Critical Illness Rider as a Safety).

If masipag ka naman tumingin sa Stock Market, better invest there kesa either UITF or MF since may mga charges pa na napupunta sa mga Fund Managers. Plus sila din yung magdedecide which stocks to buy/sell compared kung ikaw magdedecide (especially if you'll go into Active Trading).

To add: if you're after growth of your funds, VUL won't be a good investment vehicle. The primary purpose of the investment portion of the VUL is to sustain the insurance charges.

Compared against directly investing in a fund, you get better returns with the fund. If you want to directly manage your finances, another option to look at is BITD (Buy Term and Invest the Difference).

Agree..Para sa akin hindi maganda ang VUL..maganda ang marketing strategy ng mga insurance company pero sa totoong buhay ambaba ng interest compared to as advertised (by the way, i have a VUL from prudential). Para sa akin ETFs ang best option...mataas ang return, mababa ang fees, highly liquid and no need to invest much time. Whatever investment you choose, ang suggestion ko is diversified dapat. If you want to waste money on expensive insurance plus expensive investment vehicle, and donate your hard earned dollars to insurance companies, then buy VULs. And do that while your young e.g. in your 20s to screw potential growth due to compound interest, and voila you have significant less money in retirement.

Otherwise, just buy term insurance and invest the rest in passive investment such as index fund/ETF.

I was referring to the Inforgraph posted to which can be a better investment vehicle. But given another choice, BTID would be the best option for everyone to consider.

But still to each his own still why one prefers the other.

If i am not mistaken, index fund is same as mutual fund. I still think ETF is the best passive investment.

After 3years compare mo.

Thanks Paps. Pang-Tamad ba yan? :D
