camiar
Speak softly on issues concerning our defensive capabilities. But secretly build up and shore up our defense. On the maritime issue that happened within our EEZ, Duterte should demand that China cooperate in the investigations. Ano ba mahirap maintindihan diyan?China said they want to cooperate in the investigation. Why would you still want Du30 to demand cooperation? Just to make noise and make some gung-ho pinoys feel better about their macho image? Quote Link to comment

joshua_sx1
I'm against going drastic move by our government since the president is right, we don't have resources and capabilities to go war against China... but do we have with Canada? So, what's the difference between expressing our disappointment against China and Canada? Quote Link to comment

So, what's the difference between expressing our disappointment against China and Canada? I agree with you that if the situation were reversed and we were the one who did not give assistance, we would also bear the anger of the other side. Remember the Taiwanese fisherman who was shot and killed by Philippine Coastguard? It drew the ire of Taiwanese citizens. They sent Filipino OFWs back and banned employment of Filipinos to Taiwan. I also agree with you that we should not do anything drastic while the incident is still under investigation. There's no reason going to war for accidents like this. The difference between this incident and Canada's is that the Chinese were involved in an accident while Canada's has been going on unresolved for years. The Canadian issue has been festering for six years. It has been proven that it was Canada who illegally shipped trash , including hazardous hospital waste, to the Philippines. The Canadian government failed to make ant restitution despite numerous follow up from the Philippine government. To make matters worse, Trudeau embarrassed the Philippine government when he refused to deliver the Combat Utility Helicopters we ordered from Bell Canada, because we might use it against Filipino rebels! WTF??!! Du30's talk of war with Canada is just rhetoric just to make fun of the issue, as he himself admitted. The Chinese ramming issue, on the other hand, has the potential of going really serious. You don't make hot headed comments in situations like this. Du30 or any president knows this. Quote Link to comment
haroots2
If only China apologizes in behalf on those involved in the incident and cover the damages (barya lang naman yun), wala na sanang naging ganitong isyu. Quote Link to comment

If i remember correctly, yes the Taiwanese were angry but they did not push through with the ban on Filipino workers. At the end of the day, Filipino workers have passable to above average english skills, diligent workers, napapaki-usapan and hindi war freaks. Second, nobody's espousing for us to go to war with China over this. Bakit ba parating ganon ang thinking? porke naghabol tayo war agad? andaming pinakulong nila abnoy na chinese fishermen, nasentensyahan pa yung iba, nag war ba? hindi naman diba. tk421
If i remember correctly, yes the Taiwanese were angry but they did not push through with the ban on Filipino workers. Actually they did, somewhat. They actually stopped processing OFW processing in Manila. They were instead looking for workers from other SEA nations. But generally. the sentiment is that they still preferred Filipino workers precisely because of the reasons you stated. In the end, though diplomacy really did succeed. Unfortunately the present admin's idea of diplomacy is always war or free sex. Quote Link to comment
Soraoi_empire
An analyst believes that the Recto Bank incident is an attempt to drive away Filipino Fishermen so China can set foot in the area. He also said that as Beijing exerts its "hand power" in the West Philippine Sea, Manila should then exhaust its "soft power". More here. Yes! I agree. Target naman talaga nila is Recto Bank. Quote Link to comment
joshua_sx1
There is a deeper reason why President Duterte shouldn't be soft with this he called 'small marine time incident'. This will definitely affect our future stand with these conflict areas. Duterte's administrator softening on this issue is like giving up our claims. And the next administration will be having a hard time claiming what seems we have already given up... Quote Link to comment
Soraoi_empire
Tama. Edited June 26, 2019 by Soraoi_empire 1 Quote Link to comment

Kung sa Vietnam yan or Indonesia for sure dadanak ang dugo. Tapos ide-dare nya US and other countries to help us. Ang tanong lang naman eh ito... "Are you worth helping? Wala daw naitulong US sa Marawi... SAKSAKAN NG DAMI DAPAT NAMATAY NA SUNDALONG PILIPINO kungdi dahil sa P3-C Orions ng US and Australia saka sa drones ng US... meron naman military grade drones AFP non that can fly for hours pero ang konti... Due to that conflict pinayaman ng AFP yung DJI dito sa Pilipinas... "Ayaw mo tanggapin tulong na drones and Orions ng US and Australia?!?!?! Gusto mo magkamatayan mga sundalo mo!?!?!?!?!" Tameme yung aso ni Xi... Quote Link to comment

Soraoi_empire
Edited June 27, 2019 by Soraoi_empire Quote Link to comment
