i totally agree...my hats off to marquez for diligently doing his homework. unfortunately, those 2 judges saw otherwise.

I thought too that Marquez won the fight at first but when you look at it from another angle, there's sense to the 2 judges' decision. Since Marquez is the challenger, he should have been the aggressor and not Manny. What Marquez did was wait for Manny to attack so that he could unleash his counterpunching. Marquez definitely landed the telling punches but in very close rounds, the champion usually wins the round. Now, in this case, I don't think there's a need for another Pacquiao-Marquez fight coz it will still be the same outcome since Marquez will use the same tactic and Manny will still win.

that's what i thought, too...marquez had pacman on the ropes. but then, pacman, being the champ, had the advantage in every close rounds. when in doubt, you give the round to the champ. honestly, i believe even pacman himself, while awaiting for the judges' scorecards to be announced, had doubts if he won the fight. he knew it was not a dominant and convincing fight, unlike his previous fights.

i noticed too that pacman went to his corner after the fight looking like the loser and marquez looking like the winner. it seemed like he knew he was gonna lose. you're right. pacman is lucky coz he holds the belts. marquez could complain all he wants but he should have been the aggressor instead of the one being pursued. parang si pacman ang challenger. i don't think there will be a paquiao-marquez 4.

Because May 5 aka Cinco de Mayo is a mexican holiday traditionally reserved for boxing fights featuring mexican boxers and marquez is mexican. Arum feels that the fight will sell best if fought on Cinco de Mayo. Anyway, a win is a win. This is actually better. Mayweather is thinking that pacquiao is vulnerable and he'll be lured into fighting pacman.

double standard lang talaga ang mga pinoy, pag hindi naka win over TKO questionable fight daw, pag naka KO sa sa kahit isang round dapat daw draw. pag walang KO talo na daw. Taas ng standard noh ???
