CrouchingTigerHiddenLurker Posted November 20, 2015 Share Posted November 20, 2015 Hmmm...Noong bata ako hanggang high school, medyo proud pa rin ako na maging isang Pilipino pero nang nakita mo na yung ibang punto de bista at yung mundo sa labas ng paaralan, pati na rin yung nagkaroon ka na ng kakayahan para makapag-isip para sa sarili mo...Medyo hindi na ako proud. Siguro mas magandang sabihin na "so-so" lang.Para kasing mas maraming bagay ngayon na mas ikahihiya mo maging Pilipino. Halimbawa yung korupsyon na nangyayari sa lipunan. Ang hirap maging "proud" sa ganoon. Hindi ko naman itatakwil ang pagka-Pilipino, pero parang nababawasan lang ako ng dahilan para ibigay yung sarili ko sa bayan. Pero ayun nga, hindi mo pa rin maiwanan yung bayan mo kasi kung hindi ka bahagi ng solusyon, bahagi ka ng problema.Kahit papaano meron ka pa rin namang natitirang pag-asa na balang araw magkakaroon ng pagbabago. Kahit sa mga maliit na bagay na ginagawa mo. Kahit na may status quo sa lipunan at mahirap itong baguhin. Nagkakaroon lang talaga minsan ng pag-aalangan kung "the Filipino is worth dying for." I don't hate being a filipino but I hate the way filipinos are being proud about being pinoy and all that.
