manishbombee
Off The Field: Why Boxing is slowly dying | Talon Marks Off The Field: Why Boxing is slowly dying The iconic and historical sport of boxing is slowly dying, whether boxing fans want to admit it or not. Boxing simply is not what it used to be. Instead of grinding and fighting for the love of the sport, boxing has turned into an easy way to get money and fame. Quote Link to comment

afgakinka
I don't think so, Maraming new students sa gym kung saan ako nag train, probably because of the pandemic or gusto nilang mag papayat. It's great for cardio, stamina and good goundation din sa mga gusto mag MMA. Pero sana mabigyan din focus ito, just like any other sports. We pinoys can compete and excel sa sport na ito lalo na internationally. Hindi lang lagi basketball focus. Andaming mga trainer/pro boxer samin sobrang lakas. Hindi lang talaga mag fly ang career kasi kung ng support. Ask this, what sport gave us our first ever olympic GOLD medal? Sama mo na yung mga silver and bronze. Not a basketball hater here, I play it as well and enjoy it too, In fact varsity tayo nung HS... hindi lang talaga tayo naturally built for this sport. ps. you don't play boxing Quote Link to comment

kd-X
I don't think it's dying but I would say it lost much of its luster compared to the past few decades. May due to to the pandemic or maybe due to lack of appeal to the younger generation or lack of global icon/s like before (e.g. Ali, Tyson, Pacquiao, Mayweather, etc.) Quote Link to comment
espakolero
It isn't but if they continue at its current trajectory then it really will be. Quote Link to comment

Edmund Dantes
No it will not die. People will always need to watch violent contact sport to channel their rage. Quote Link to comment
padedepo
Yup. Boxing is about endless bout. When the most paid match with manny and floyd became joke. The boxing generation is definitely going down. Quote Link to comment
