ATONG ANG
Atong Ang: I was wondering if you tried purchasing a watch from e-bay. If YES, please tell us your technique in getting a genuine watch. (I am assuming that you are also here in Manila). I am planning kasi to buy a watch kaso most of the pre-owned shop here sell their watch at a premium price. For example, a Rolex Air king sells around 100K (from Manila Watch - Hyatt) Can you recommend a good and reliable pre-owned watch store in Manila? the first thing to look for is the no. of feedbacks a seller has. the higher the better, he wont risk his opportunity to sell another hundred watches just by duping one buyer for a negative feedback. sometimes accidents happens in shipping and thats where disputes arise. also check the items he has previously sold. take MAYWAIKI for example. the guy has been selling rolex and omegas ever since and has seldom gained a negative feedback. warning though, the higher feedback the seller has, the more sought-after his watches are, hence, the bidding higher prices. be reminded that you still have to add shipping charges to the bidding price. then there are customs issues. if a seller is willing to undervalue his watch, then you might have a better chance of getting away with it. payment can be through bank to bank if you already are familiar with the seller. paypal is still not available in the Phils. western union or zoom is also another option. just pm me if you need some private sellers who dont add too much overhead like manila watch. normally, air king is around 50-70k depending on age and condition. ATONG ANG
air king for 100k? too much! @* you wanna get rolexes cheap? go to the Casinos. Cash basis only. i agree with you there that rolexes are cheap because of the immediate need of the 'supplier', but one has to have a sharp eye. there are many fakes that could even fool the keenest of eyes. others are chop-chop 'frankenwatches' with original case and movements but these do not match.
