Richmond
Same old ending for me if the PBA and the Gilas program can't come to terms in providing the players for international tournament might as well discontinue it same old issues again and again 1 Quote Link to comment

Yoda18
Rebounding and transition play ng Korea tayo nadale, wala silang magawa kay Ratcliffe. I can't help but just imagine if only a player like a Greg Slaughter is with the team, he was able to contain the imports last conference. Another missed oppurtunity! Quote Link to comment
torresicecube
sayang, mahussle tayo sa unang tatlong quarter sa rebounds pero pagdating ng 4th quarter napabayaan yng rebounds kaya nagkakaroon ng extra possession at nakakaiskor ang Korea..... Quote Link to comment
junix
TOs and korea's offensive rebounding. talagang kinapos. time to really plan the philippines' basketball program. you just don't go to battle with a 2 week preparation and a ragtag team. why don't we start replacing the coach. we've seen what coach yeng can do...likewise what puso has done. coach tab? we know his credentials. then who is the right naturalized player. jbl? standhardinger? pringle? at this point i don't think blatche is the guy. nonetheless, a team formed barely 2 weeks and gave powerhouse china and korea a scare is an achievement in itself. as i've said, you don't go to the asian games with insufficient preparation. muntikan pa nga tayong hindi na magpadala ng basketball team sa indonesia. that's how pathetic and in disarray our national basketball program is. 2 Quote Link to comment

Kung yung USA Basketball Team nga nag seset-up ng camp months before the competition eh. Hindi talaga pwe-pwede yung biglaang buo ng team tapos 2 week preparation with that level of competition. Props pa rin sa PH team natin despite the loss. Wala na ko masabi sa effort. medyo nagkulang lang talaga sa defense and rebounding nung 4th quarter. Nakakabwisit lang talaga tong pulitika sa basketball natin. Quote Link to comment
RED2018
Offensive rebounds and points conversion via turnovers killed us... Still an excellent effort considering a very short preparation... Some takeaways:1.cohesion and chemistry is a must (thus, ample preparation/training is a must) 2. skills alone cant win games... there should be a system (perfected by heart and mind) being implemented in the court 3.Coach Yeng is better than Coach Chot 4.The two Stans (Pringle and Christian) are indeed the Men 5.JC is a brave Filipino (he need not heed a challenge, and the pressure's on him, since he's already a well earning NBA playet, but he did) Quote Link to comment
dani.solieja
True TOs and offensive rebounds killed us especially sa 4th quarter. Maganda naman nilaro ng locals natin. May mararating sana itong lineup na to kung nakapagprepare ng mas maaga at yung gilas-boomers brawl nag suffer talaga tayo. Quote Link to comment

Pepwede ba yun? i really believe that the men in charge of the philippine basketball program and the pbs should put their acts together if we want to succeed at least in the asian level. wala na yung 1 player 1 policy. kalokohan yun. and the need for sufficient time to prepare. Feeling ko kasi mas priority nila yung ballclubs at PBA kesa sa international competition. Yung 1 player 1 team, parang half hearted lang na suporta eh. tsk tsk Yung ibang bansa may mga pro at amateur leagues din pero pag dating ng international competition, they can field the best team. Siguro bago tayo mag aim sa worlds, mag focus muna tayo sa Asia. Quote Link to comment
