i used to have a shot of brandy per day before bedtime and me and my friends would have bottles of beer on top of the 1 to 2 liters of whatever hard per week. had a fatty liver and diabetes in a year.

now i only drink maybe less than 5x a year, cant even go thru 1can of beer or 1glass of wine. my other sicknesses like bloodsugar and cholesterol is still jacked, but i never had a fatty liver in my tests ever again.

My wifey is a hepatologist (liver especialist) and G.I. (colon expert) while I'm into part-time IM (and full time businessman), please don't let liver issues be delayed. Consult a specialist immediately. We have clinics at St Luke's BGC,  The Medical City, Chinese Gen Hosp, and partly at PGH MAB. Thanks guys!

Some drugs that are used for the management of cardiovascular problems can indeed cause liver damage. It really depends on the drug and the dosage. For example, you might be on a statin to manage your dyslipidaemia. Amiodarone is also known to cause liver damage.

In general, a good physician will monitor your liver function when you are on these drugs. These tests are done on a sample of your blood and, over time, the doctor will be able to determine the effect on your liver.

Good luck.
