***************Becoming a Successful Fighter!*******************

 

The key to becoming a great fighter has more to do with how you ration your skill points than the loot you have. Most players do not realize that your individual Attack / Defense carry much more weight than your overall score.

 

For example, a player with 200 individual attack and 23,000 overall attack has a great chance of beating a player with 100 individual defense and 25,000 overall defense despite having a lower overall number due to how the fighting formula is calculated.

 

Don't think overall attack is not important though, because it does factor heavily into the formula, just not as heavily as the rationing of skill points.

 

That same player with 200 individual attack and 23,000 overall attack is probably not going to beat a player with 180 individual defense and 30,000 overall defense due to how the multipliers work out.

 

Here is a guide to follow on how to ration your skill points:

 

Attack – 2x your Level

Defense – 2x your Level + 100

Health – 1 x your level until you reach between 160-200

Stamina - 1 x your level until you reach 100+

 

Now you ask, how this is accomplished when you only get 5 skill points when you level up? Remember, you get a skill point for every job and job tier you master. So a typical level up would see you giving 2 points to attack, 2 points to defense and 1 point to Health. Then the next time you would add 2 points to attack, 2 points to defense and 1 point to stamina. And then you fill in the gaps with the points you get for mastering jobs between level ups. A successful fighter will have roughly the following stats by the time they reach level 200:

 

Attack: 400+

Defense: 500+

Health: 160-200

Stamina: 100+

 

Attack/Defense – Having a stat ratio like that will help you win 90% or more fights from the MW Fight List and be fairly competitive in Clan Wars. Most clans start at 1.5x Att / 2x Def. all the way up to 3x Att/Def. or more. Most Non-CC Players build equally on Att/Def. So if you build 2x Att / 2x+100 Def., you have a slight advantage from your opponent and keep it from becoming a ping/pong match. Keep in mind, you will never beat a “Plastic Player" unless you retaliate with “Plastic” because they will pull out their CC the minute you beat them :-)

 

Health – This average will give you a greater chance of staying alive during a clan war and will help you “Ride the Hitlist” (see below for details).

 

Stamina – During a Clan War, this will ensure you have plenty of bullets to take down your opponents and many of them. Opponents may take a few on up to 25+ attacks to Ice or k*ll.

notables are the tiger tank and chariot with 48 def and attack, respectively

pero yung iba.. parang sayang lang GF points mo..

 

as i mentioned before, the only loots i recommend to purchase are the russian bear, kodiak bear, and jaguar (esp nung black friday event the other week)

I agree. I spent hundreds of energy in the NY Tiers to get the Bangkok loot but got none a friend only did a job 2x and got the loot in the Hitman Tier. Chambahan na lang.

i havent done any bangkok looting, but i saw that the xp/energy ratio is "kinda low" so you can do more jobs before leveling up

 

we are all at the mercy of the erratic programmers of zynga..

Please note: Mafia Mikes no longer requires friends to acquire more cafes. It is now like the rest of the properties and requires cash to buy. Mafia Mikes is working as intended and not a bug.

On Dec 1, 2009 Facebook revised their Developer Principals and Policies. The biggest problem was section V, sub section 2, Which reads: You must not provide user's with rewards or gate content from user's based on their number of friends who use your application.

By changing this policy they put Zynga in the position of having to do away with the way Mafia Mike's were purchased, the way that the weekly loot item was purchased, the way that the Capo fight's were conducted and others. This is the reason that Zynga has had to change our game.

Facebook has imposed a deadline of Dec 20th. All changes have to be made prior to this date or they will pull the plug on Mafia Wars

As we all have seen, Bangkok will be the next Mafia Wars expansion.

 

Prior to the opening of the territory and being allowed to travel to it, players have to collect three loot items from other areas of the game. Once the territory if open and ready players will have to choose which side they are going to join, the Yakuza or the Triads, both of which are organized crime syndicates in Japan. The side players choose will determine the jobs they do to progress in the game.

 

Loot Items Required

In order to be ready for the release of Bangkok, players must locate three loot items. Once these items are in their possession they will be given their passport to travel. The passport will not be sent to players until Bangkok opens for business. The loot items needed are:

* Triad Coin

* Yakuza Sake

* Thai Note

The jobs they can be looted from are:

* NY - Soldier

* NY - Enforcer

* NY - Hitman

Players can find the loot items by doing the jobs on these levels that are marked with a golden elephant. It may take several times doing the job to acquire the item but once it is acquired a notification displayed showing it has been added to the Bangkok list of necessary items.

 

Choosing Sides

 

Zynga offers little information on how to choose sides other than the message on the Bangkok home page statement concerning the fight for control of criminal markets of Thailand. To help choose sides, some background information on their behaviors and typical activities can be useful.

 

The Yakuza

 

The Yakuza’s origin in Japanese syndicated crime traces back to the 17th century. According to Miyuki Sundara of the Organized Crime Registry the Yakuza are an all male organized crime group. Their activities include blackmail, illegal gambling, casinos, prostitution and smuggling. These activities will be what the jobs in game play will be based upon.

 

The Triads

 

Originally the Triads started as a resistance to the Manchurian Emperor. According to the website http://www.facebook.com/l/33be1;Gangland.net their name comes from the unity of the Three Harmonies Society, the union of Heaven, Earth and Man. Criminal activities included counterfeiting money and later counterfeiting products such as watches and other pricey items, as technology advanced they added pornography and piracy.

 

Both the Triads and the Yakuza are powerful crime syndicates that control the underground world in Bangkok. Players in Facebook Mafia Wars can use these basic ideas on the groups to determine which side they want to join when they start Bangkok.
