Scuba Diving And/or Snorkelling

Bro, I did two dives this weekend in Anilao (Leisure Dive). Thanks to Goldgreen for the info on the resort.

I tried to dive sa Outrigger first but they tried my patience once too much. I'm not going back there. Never. Imagine, we leave 3-330am to be able to dive 6am. When you get there, the staff make you wait for more than 30mins and what?? nothing. We were made to wait for the counter/check-in attendant pero walang lumabas. I was with my family and dive buddy, wasting the beautiful morning. Sayang, parang maganda pa naman house reef nila.

Good thing we transferred to Leisure Dive. Although we did not have reservation, they accomodated us right away. They have organized a diveboat which was scheduled to cruise to Puerto Galera. 3 dives in 3 different sites with breakfast, lunch and snack for P2800 all-in (very reasonable) and about P1800 for non-divers.

We just did shore dives as we had a friends-only schedule at Matabungkay for lunch (whew, busy day).

Next time, we'll join the trip to Puerto Galera. Damage for breakfast for 3, 4 tanks (2x2dives) and resort fee for 4 = P1,500 inclusive of tips.

So much for Outrigger. Should I take your word for ABC?

Sorry to hear this, bro. Never know much how outrigger operates. All I can say is that I dont have bad experience from this resort since maybe my uncle is the consultant of this resort. My involvement here is on the technical (construction and maintenance). And it's been a while since I've been here. Nowadays, whenever I go to Anilao, its with ABC. Let's just say that I'm not sure that I'm in a best position to guarantee your satisfaction with ABC. All I can say is that this is a new resort, with nice new facilities and the place is clean and I know very much the people who operates this resort. All I can do for now is to give to you their website and check for your self if you will like what you'll see. Regards..

i just visited that ship wreck early this week. it was interesting but the water was a little cloudy siguro dahil sobrang lalim na according to our guide. 990 feet if he (the tour guide) was not mistaken. we did not do diving pala, snorkling lang. sayang! hehehe.

@pornstar: bro, i am not sure yet on the 31st but would love to go. sana may ibang sirena pa na sasama if ever :)

ate, we might move the schedule.. something came up.. don't worry about the other sirena's.. meron talaga kaming isasama.. kasi boring pag wala eh. :thumbsupsmiley:

Its good to know meron palang tread dito for scuba diving. I have been diving but in anilao area lang. Never been to other places. I recommend a nice diving resort in Anilao. Thats the Anilao Beach Club (ABC) I design this resort and it was completed early this year so new pa ang mga Facilities. This is owned and operated an american & british. Both are SSI dive masters. I also recommend Outrigger for shore entry dives. That is if your in Anilao. Water here is always calm especially in ABC because it is strategically located in the cove of Balayan bay. Last 2 weeks when typhoon is hitting Manila and northern Luzon, weather here is calm.

guys eb tayo.. let's try this resort kahit day trip lang

  • 2 weeks later...

there is this place south of manila. the name does ring a bell when it comes to low class beach but ie been going there for almost 20 years. large formation of corals, best for snorkelling but treacherous currents. pm me if interested.
