congrats as well to the fourth placer San Beda Red Lions, the third placer Letran Knights and the runner-up Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles who all gallantly put up a stand to make the PCC Final Four fun to watch ... it is good to see the sportsmanship exemplified by these teams, that despite losing key players in key stretches of the tournament, never made excuses for falling short of their goals (e.g. SBC sans Pong Escobal, Borgy Hermida, AdMU sans Chris Tiu, Ryan Buenafe) ... kudos to these teams who, despite of losing, managed to hold their heads up high and accept defeat honorably, standing side by side with the champions DLSU in the awarding rites ... till the next PCC :)

Iba talaga kung Ateneo natatalo. Walang excuses.

Talaga lang ha?

From Philstar.com:

“Congratulations to La Salle, they deserve to win this particular game,” said Ateneo coach Norman Black. “Of course, this is not the same team that played in the UAAP so what can I do. We can only do our best with what we have.”

so what's wrong with the statement? did he say niluto ng ref or the officials were against them? We never do that. It is NOT THE ATENEO WAY. We did our best with what we had. o di ba tama? panalo kayo dahil yung team niyo mas magaling nung lunes. tinanggap namin ang 2nd ng walang angal. We blame no one except ourselves. As I said, we DID NOT play well.

best collegiate team in the country. parang ilang beses na ba kayo nanalo sa amin this year? syempre dahil kinampihan kami ng ref ang reason niyo. Grow up archers. pang bata yhang mga pinagsasabi niyo.

lol..yeah...read that one in the Inquirer website. Ok na sana yung simula ng statement ni Norman, biglang kabig :P IMHO, give credit where credit is due - no ifs, no buts

But still, the better team won here. Congrats to DLSU :)

One Big Fight!

The PCC is the first "champions league" tournament that De La Salle have played in. They use to snub tournaments like the PCC even during the 1997 "champions league" won by NCAA five-peat winner SSC-R Golden Stags. De La Salle is once again...back.

It's also interesting to note that the Green Archers won the 2007 UAAP crown (their 7th) on October 7, 2007, the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Recently, they bagged the PCC title to crown themselves as the best collegiate team in the country on December 8, 2008, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Ateneo's patroness). It's so nice to win titles during Mary's feasts.

For now, they need to enjoy those KFC gift certificates to the fullest. After all, it's so nice to eat KFC fried chicken meals and all those chicken fillet and burger combinations when you've won the big one over the Blue Eagles. It's fried chicken time!

Wow man!!! what kind of breeding do they do to you in that lame excuse for a good quality school? How did our beloved Mother Mary's name get dragged into the issue? And you call your school a Catholic School? geeez!!!!!!! Mahiya ka naman sa Ina ng Panginoon natin tsong. Iningles mo pa!!!

Inamin na nga that you were the better team on that day. and you peole are still rambling about the commissioner issue. lumang issue na yan. daig pa niyan ang zombie dahil binubuhaty niyo paulit-ulit. grow up la sallites!!!! or la sallians or whatever it is you should be called!!!!!
