ganid Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 its a coronation of ateneo.... truly the better team this season.... the awarding medyo obious n one sided... last yr they give award to the scorer, rebounder,and assist.... takot cla magbigay ngayon kc c jervy will win both scoring and rebouning throphy.... and y was there no award for 6th man....takot cla n bigyan c maihofer wc i think should get due recognition.... saan rabah nyo? he was a non factor in2days game... c baclao dapat mvp ng finals...and yet they give it to chris tiu..... DLSU still had a vaunted pressing defense. coach ata nila noon si Joe Lipa while si Pumaren ang coach ng DLSU. Eto lang ata ung championship series na pina nalo nila sa UAAP. Kasi noong 1988 nagharap ang ADMU at DLSU noon panalo ADMU, 2001 eto ung second time nagharap sila ulit and nanalo ang DLSU and then 2002 and 2008. Lasalle showed its pride that they will never kneel down on ateneo and will never cry for it. Even the Lasalle fans and students just went home and ignore evrythign even Lasalle rectors. Matalu na sa lht wag lang sa ateneo pag pumayag sila kunin ung award it means they accept ateneo are better men than them. Lasalle showed there bravery in deciding not to show up and its an insult to ateneos face. thats not bravery... that's cowardice of the highest level... never being man enough to accept defeat and being afraid of the consequences of their actions... takot silang tanggapin ang pagkatalo so where is bravery in all that... and to call it pride is sick... how can you be proud of not being man enough to admit defeat... baka kaya dyan nagsimula ang pagtawag sa bading na berde ang dugo... and i dont think there was any atenean that felt they were insulted by the cowardice and lack of class shown by la salle... the blue eagles work hard for it... they completely dominated la salle so it doesnt really matter if la salle will be man enough to admit defeat... because everyone saw how they utterly destroyed and defeated la salle... Vegasboy32 Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 its not about anyone noticing. the refs were strict from the start. kaya nga 2 fouls agad si rabah and that foul called on baclao he did not tough the la salle player while trying to intercdept the ball. all told, fair naman ang ref. may strict calls sa amin meron sa inyo. problema lang si rico even if he has no actual too bad an intention, the way he looks makes his acts convince the referee that he's taunting the other players. and from where i was there a a clear dirty finger and too bad for him the ref saws it and rightfully called it. many players do this but some dont do it with finesse, kaya na te-technical. Wesley Gonzales was one of the masters of this style of playing when he was playing for ADMU. hehehehe. As for the non appearance at the awarding. Ano ba!!! you guys are supposed to be examples of sportsmanship. if you feel agrieved then by all means file a protest but for ____ sake don't be BASTOS!!!! Ako kasi personally hindi ako naniniwala sa taunting and trash talking those two things have no place in the basketball court. Talagang yan na ang trademark ng DLSU ever since they rejoined the UAAP. It all started with the UST and DLSU championships way back in 1994. Halos lahat ng players sa DLSU tinatrash talk ung mga taga UST. Ang pinaka ayaw ko doon si Tyrone Bautista. We all know that UST kicked their butts for 3 straight years. Hanggang sa ngayon inaallow pa rin nila ito. Dapat siguro ang maging coach ng DLSU ung si Coach Carter. Hehehe. That guy doesn't allow trash talking on his team. Pagka nakipagtrash talk ka or you engaged in taunting you would ride the bench the rest of the game. Pumaren should either remove the taunting and trash talking next year. Ayan kung hindi kasi ngumarat si Rico baka nanalo pa sila. The refs have the benefit of the doubt. Mas malapit sila. But according to the broadcasters talagang nag flash ng dirty sign si Rico. E kung matino talaga syang maglaro eh di noong una palang hindi na sya na technical. Pasensya sya napaginitan siya ng referee. Isa pa nahalata ko kaya ang daming fouls na tinawag kina bader and company. Naging agressive sila sa defense. Of course pagka sobrang aggressive ka chances are matatawagan ka talaga ng foul. E sa mga replay na lang talagang may foul doon. Ex. ung kay Casio e halata namang nanulak. Kitang kita ng camera. If Pumaren couldn't control the emotions of his team next year magresign na lang sya. Isa pa hindi maganda ung ginawa nilang hindi pag tanggap sa trophy it's a sign of unsportsmanship. Vegasboy32 Posted September 25, 2008 Share Posted September 25, 2008 hindi mo habol matalo... you play your heart out, do your best, and in the end if talo, you accept it, learn from it and move on... you don't sourgrape, you don't blame anyone... the fact is natalo e... and i beg to disagree with your statement that Ateneo would do the same thing... totoo na they have that mentality na "matalo na sa lahat, wag lang sa lasalle", but kung natalo sila, im sure tatanggapin nila un... they would not boycott the awarding ceremony and not get their medals, they would accept defeat... they've always shown class and respect for the teams they played this year (win or lose)... if you notice, sila lang ang buong team (including coaches) na humaharap sa crowd ng opponent when they sing that school sings their hymn... bakit ganito tayo sa pilipinas, walang natatalo... its either nanalo ka or nadaya ka... pati ung nagpost kanina na dapat daw d nalang tinawag ung k rico dahil wala naman daw nakakita... so porke walang nanakita, hindi na tatawagin... tsk tsk tsk :thumbsdownsmiley: anyway, call it what you want, a "shady win", a "tainted series", "luto", "nadaya", "biased"... bottomline is Ateneo won... they've been winning the whole year and no one can question that... they were the better team this season, plain and simple! It was ateneo's year so far going 13-1 and sweeping DLSU 4-0 during the season. Yung championship last year hindi naman ako bilib doon. Siempre ang magkalaban ung magkapatid. Hehehe. On DLSU not accepting 2nd place, I think it's just a case of being caught up in the emotions of the game. Black's wards looks very much intact for next season.
