fatchubs
Aside from the two rookies we got in the first round are there any players signed by the team? May official line-up na ba ang GSM for the coming season? 2 Quote Link to comment
Captain Guile
i have watched this video 3x already, madami pa kakainin bigas si Slaughter, medyo mabagal pa siya, walang movement, mobility at aggressiveness, walang gulang, walang angas, kayang kaya siya bantayan ni Belga, at madali siya ma check at nasusupalpal pa. naalala ko tuloy si EJ Feihl, halos ganun lang siya maglaro, i'm just wondering kasi ang dami na din nya experiences, from UAAP, D-League, Asian Games at Gilas, pero bakit para syang beginner pa din? sana makakuha siya ng malupit na mentor sa GSM, para ma improve ang laro nya kagaya kay Fajardo, otherwise kayang kaya siyang kainin ng buhay nila Sonny Thoss at Junmar. Personal comment ko lang ito........I would rather get the other centers than Slaughter. Sorry pero hindi ako impress sa paglalaro niya. Matagal na dapat na develop siya pero parang E.J. Feihl. Sana mali ako. Sana! .................... and, based sa akin mga kasama, may attitude problem ang ito just like Husseini. Ask Black hehehe Hopefully mag improve pa si Slaughter, kasi pag nagkataon, para na namang may alagaing Bonjing ang Ginebra. Sayang ang first round pick. Quote Link to comment
jepoyskieLOVEbianca
http://www.spin.ph/s...ks-get-underway nakakahinayang to para sa akin...pero i think its time to move on... actually, agree ako dito boss eh, nakakapanghinayang talaga si Eric Menk, For me, BGSM should have re-signed him for a year or two... para hindi sya nagpunta sa Globalport... pwede naman syang hindi isama sa final 15 players eh, i-sign lang... at kung tatanungin nyo ko kung para saan??? eh di para maging guide nila Slaughter, Aguilar, Jay-R Reyes.... malaking tulong sana yung mai-share nya na mga nalalaman nya sa paglalaro bilang Big Man... take a look at how Fajardo improved while being mentored by Danny I. alam ko hindi 100% guaranteed na mangyayari din yun sa BGSM, pero who knows di ba?? sayang, sana sinubukan, malaki naman kita ng team, i'm sure they won't mind hiring someone to train their Big Men... jepoyskieLOVEbianca
mga Ginebra Fans, since nandyan na yan, let us give Slaughter a chance... napanuod ko din yung video medyo kulang pa sa galaw, mabagal pa, saka kitang-kita pa yung mga rookie jitters... lousy pass, tirang takot, saka rebound na pang juan tamad (iniintay bumagsak sa kanya bola) pero may chance pa mabago yan, pag nabigyan ng tamang mentor... (lalo tuloy ako nanghinayang na hindi nila ibinalik si Menk, or nakuha si Taulava sana) dapat magkaroon ng angas sa paglalaro si Slaughter, he must impose his height sa luob... natutulak tulak lang eh... dapat angkinin nya yung shaded area... parang napakabait kasi maglaro, nahihiya ata makabangga sa luob eh... dapat medyo yumabang ng konti... logickisser
im not a ginebra fan. pero si fajardo nga.. wasnt that effective in the first seasonsnot until the last season na naging dominant lalo sa playoffs give the first pick a chance to prove himselfmalay natin Quote Link to comment
azraelmd
I dont think. Aguilar and reyes will learn anything from menk...more like theyll revert to the old iso style ....aguilar improved alot in his recent stints wirh gilas playing more of an athletic forward instead of a back to te basket power forward...same with reyes....Slaughter on the other hand...might learn a thng or two from menk... Especially on the "power" aspect....Also if you look at their body mass ( aguilar and fajardo) before gilas training camp and befor FIBA....medyo lumaki at nagkamuscle lalo upper body nila... Agent_mulder
Maybe the team ought to hire someone like Benjie Paras or Jun Limpot as teach Slaughter, Reyes and Aguilar. Just look at what Limpot did to Van Opstal of DLSU, obvious na naturuan ni Limpot 'yan dahil 'di naman ganun ang galaw dati noon eh Quote Link to comment
*kalel*
well if they want to coach greg, i think they should get marlou aquino... menk and asi have styles that might not be compatible with greg's... Quote Link to comment
fatchubs
Bakit mo naman nasabing "might not be compatible" ang style ni Menk at Asi kay Greg? Dahil ba Greg's play is kinda similar to Marlou? 2 Quote Link to comment
Agent_mulder
Greg is definitely more mobile than Marlou and Feihl Quote Link to comment
jepoyskieLOVEbianca
Greg is definitely more mobile than Marlou and Feihl, that is why I think he'd better learn from Menk and Asi, kasi may mga power moves sila na hindi kaya ng isang Marlou... na pwedeng magawa ni Greg, and difference, mas matangkad si Greg, si pwedeng mahigitan pa... fatchubs
at this point Greg is more of a "Marlou" than an "Asi" or a "Menk". Marlou for me plays "softer" as compared to Asi and Menk who are "bangers" inside the paint. We need Greg to play "tough" not "soft". Do we want Marlou to mentor Greg to be like Marlou? junix
would've been nice to see asi in a bgk uniform and at the same time mentor the young greg slaughter. Edited November 15, 2013 by junix Quote Link to comment
