Im looking forward for a change of coaching staff and not trading the young potential player with an old/choker player...

No doubt ..Miller is an explosive player but Alaska traded him because of questionable crunchtime performances in their losing finals stint in the AllFilipino conferences the past two years..the truth is he is on the trading block as early as last year..Alaska management is just too decent and proper not to divulge it- they have that way of making it a 'graceful' exit even for imports who hadn't passed their grade.

 

Sana lang wag sila magpasikatan nina Jayjay and Mark Caguiao- all three of them are scoring guards, are effective holding the ball from way out of the shaded lane, and are designated crunchtime go-to-guy player...

I guess the logic there is that with MC back from injury, there is now a logjam at the 2 spot. If you will recall BG traded for Cyrus when Mark was then injured and could not play for quite sometime therefore leaving them only with Tubid as the only SG. Now they still got Mark, Tubid, and Junthy even with the departure of Cyrus.

 

With Miller, Ginebra can utilize him as one of their PG (an upgrade over Cruz)with JJ as the other. As such, it could be a potent backcourt duo of JJ-MArk and Miller-Tubid. This should also allow them to utilize Intal more on the SF position with Sunday/Junthy as back-up. Depending on the match-up Tubid could also move to the 3 spot allowing Miller to at times play the 2 with JJ or a tandem of Miller and MArk at the backcourt. This shows that with Miller, Ginebra got deeper in the PG position an at the same time maintained its flexibility of having a potent small line-up.

 

+ 1 .... having them all on the court at the same time is the most lethal 3 G combination there is ; scoring wise

Let's not be too harsh on Miller...assuming the guy is really a choker, well BG can always rely on JJ and the Spark during end games. Miller could come it to provide quality minutes at the point.

Bigyan naman natin ng chance bukas. I'm not a Miller fan.

Bukas may bago silang import at Miller. It's still a change, although not exactly what we want.

Intal is a natural 3 ...Junthy could play 2 or 3. But as to why Miller, my guess is that that's the only trade available now and it could improve their PG position that is why the Gins took it. Cyrus is a 2 while Miller can play 1 or 2. That gives the Gin Kings more flexibility without loosing much offensively. Look at it this way with Miller, he would be able to produce what Cyrus could give them in the 2 position but he is definitely an upgrade at the 1 position over Cruz

correction ... Junthy I believe is still under contract with Ginebra except under PBA rules each team can only maintain/hold a specific number of players under the restricted list. Since Ginebra has an excess number of players under contract un sumobra po e unrestricted and pwedeng kunin ng kahit sinong team. Now kung wala naman kumuha then his current mother team continues to pay his salary and can activate him anytime as long as they will put another player in the unrestricted list.

 

Parang ganyan po ang naging situation ni Ferriols ... under contract po siya sa Alaska pero nasa unrestricted list kaya pwede siyang kunin ng Ginebra by assuming his existing contract.
