khilua23
brown is no way near impressive... mas matino pa maglaro si Monroe ng Barako well, 1st game palang naman ni brown... aside from the fact na dumating siya from US 4am friday, then afternoon biyahe na siya para sa out of town game, tapos hindi pa ata aircon sa game venue. btw, ambres is still in the country. minomonitor pa ng bgk kung sino mas ok sa kanila ni brown as BGK import. khilua23
Well, I am having my mind open at sana naman malas lang siya sa first game niya. May galaw, mas exciting kaysa sa naunang dalawa. Pero talo pa rin. No Tubid, No Menk and no sort of set plays. To tell you the truth, nagulat ako sa mga players ng TNT, first time I saw them play, para palang national team na yun, parang SMB, parang Alaska! Yung nasa itaas, sobrang lakas. Whatever happened to the salary cap/ceiling ng mga teams? What happened Commish Barrios? Puro allowances ba ang malaki, not salaries? kung akala nga natin pang all star na ung line up ng smb, pang national team pala line up ng talk and text... in fairness naman sa alaska sumunod sila sa salary cap, binitiwan nila si ferriols dahil sa salary cap, and i think mas malaki pa salary ni miller kesa kay baguio, plus retired na si cariaso giving them another salary cap space. Commissioner barrios, will soon step down as pba commissioner.http://www.gmanews.tv/story/192802/with-salud-on-board-pba-commissioner-barrios-ready-to-step-down Edited June 6, 2010 by khilua23 Quote Link to comment
avi_sala
I think it's about time to trade JAyjay Helterbrand... to a much younger player.. Agent_mulder
At least 'di sila tinambakan ng tnt, ayos sa narinig ko sa sportscaster ang average winning margin ng tnt in their past few game is 19, Ginebra pushed them to the limit kahit wala sina Menk at Tubid. Quote Link to comment
photographer
10pm lights out na! Quote Link to comment

amante
with all due respect kay Big J. in between the legendary Chito Loyzaga, Dondon Ampalayo, Ray Cuenca of the 80's and the Bal David, Marlou Aquino, Noli Locsin era, naging talunang team po ang Ginebra. during a period of time, naging kuhanan ng panalo ang Ginebra. ito ung panahon na mayagpag ang mga "makabagong sistema" nila Tim Cone, Yeng Guiao, at Derrick Pumaren. again, with all due respect....if the Big J is coming back to the BGK fold, I do not think it should be in the coaching role, most especially, if you are suggesting that he take over from Uichico. He once said: "simple lang ang larong basketball, hindi kelangan komplikahin..".  let's set aside my being a Jawo-fan.. in my opinion, i believe all of the current coaches are applying the "makabagong sistema" to their team, ginebra included. a lot of them are abroad during off season trying to learn different strokes from different NBA coaches...but then, even if you, as a coach, have a good coaching program, pero ang mga players mo puro puyat, gimik sa gabi, sugal, inom, i do not think your team we'll be effective as well. on his watch, Jaworski made sure that at 10pm all his players were all at home. if not, you'll get penalized severely..one example was when he sent the great Billy Ray Bates home for excessive night outs back then. if there will be a poll on who's the most qualified coach at this moment for our team, well, Jaworski will have my vote! ray004
oh if i may add...compared to coaches mentioned above (Cone, Guiao and Pumaren), it was only the Big J who achieved the most respectable finish during the 1990 Asian Games against China. with only a week of preparation, he coached the Philippine Team to 2nd place. of which other (above) coaches failed to do despite the months of preparation and big budget to dispose of. khilua23
brown is no way near impressive... mas matino pa maglaro si Monroe ng Barako in fairness to Brown, mas maganda naman naipakita niya kesa kay MONROE.. their match up stats:BROWN: 26 PTS (10/21 FG), 16 REBS, 3 ASSTS, 1 STL, 4 TO, 2 PF, in 36 mins.MONROE: 17 PTS (7/16 FG), 6 REBS, 1 ASST, 1 BLK, 0 TO, 0 PF, in 27 mins. whats happening to helterbrand? parang sya yung galing injury! =( another disappointing game by Jayjay Helterbrand versus barako... his stats:0 PTS (0/2 FG), 0 REBS, 1 ASST, 1 TO, 0 PF, in 7 MINS.
