gift_of_game
^bro, I cut Zumaya `coz Leyland's got him on a pretty short leash with that arm. he's regressed quite a bit as well after all the freak injuries he had over the past couple of years. he can still give the radar gun fits but the control hasn't always been there. and lastly, I realized that I wasn't going to get enough saves anyway and since my bats all went on vacation, I had to roll the dice... bubuy
health is really the only thing forcing them to reconsider JZ, but as far as competition in the pen i think they'd roll the dice with him.. problem is if they fall too far off the playoff picture, they might shut him down to be 100% healthy for next season.. and no more guitar hero for him.. Haha.. no more guitar hero na nga! they're teasin' him as "guitar zero". what I meant on the CLE closer situation: statistically, rafa perez has the best and currently has the best peripherals (controls, stuff, etc.). they tried betancourt kaso lumagpak. susunod na si masa kobayashi. you can't imagine giving mujica or jensen lewis for that, right? I honestly believe "nadale" mo siya by plucking him from the FA pool. alright, where's joe blow when you need him? oh wait, adam miller???? not now I believe.. sa TEX: more franky francisco than joaquin benoit, huh?sa PIT: tama.. lapit na yata si capps..sa NYM: that's the rumor.. more than that.. but he holds the best stuff so it's not a bad idea.. for sure, unahan na naman tayo! gift_of_game
Leyland was once quoted as saying that he's actually considering moving Joel into the rotation, possibly next year. Zumaya wants to close of course and there's really little doubt that he won't be able to pull it off...but the Cabrera trade took away a very promising arm (Andrew Miller) and all the Tigers have right now down the farm is Porcello and a few decent relief guys. edit:heto mahirap sa closer situations eh, kailangan subaybayan ang tsismis Edited August 7, 2008 by gift_of_game Quote Link to comment

gift_of_game
^it's all for the long-term, master B. Leyland just kept it vague by saying that he's keeping his options open for the future. honestly, part of me thinks that the Tigers have silently raised the white flag with Pudge's exit out of Motown. bubuy
speaking of pudge, san na kaya sya ma-trade next season? i cant imagine him sitting on the bench most of the time.. Quote Link to comment
kingsville
I'm guessing the Marlins. They'll re-think of a better trade offer that will convince the Yanks. Quote Link to comment
Jongkers
i have the top two teams coming up in the next 2 weeks.. what a cruel schedule.. I'm in the middle of it, master b.Chicken nuggz last week and SD24 this week.Hot on my tail ( this doesn't sound right) is consig trimming (ugh!) down my lead. nice...first career save for Perez...? Call up ? Nice. But no. Not yet anyway.Unless my three-closer rotation encounters a big problem.Besides, puproblemahin ko pa si Perez sa keep-10 e.Hirap na nga ako mag-decide as it is. actually baka ako pa ang malaglag at malagpasan mo pa ako pati ng TFE.. SD24 and ChixNuggz ang kalaban the next 2 weeks eh, the top two teams record-wise.. since naglalaban sila sa #1 seeding, malamang full force ang dalawang yan pag matchup sa akin, bugbog ako.. Err, excuse me, master b.After this week, maka-salvage man lang ako ng 6-6 kay SD24, I'll try to get into the battle for #1. Although I'll still go up against my division rival consig and then two matchups with Joshiasi na di ko pa nakakalaban ever. Quote Link to comment
Jongkers
Three days, three SPs... 0QS, 3L, 11.57 ERA, 5.79 BB/9. Quote Link to comment
agentjackbauer
Sayang, kung kalaban sana kita this week 11-1 ang score natin. Quote Link to comment
Ankiseth
Baka naman fresh na si Franklin ... pwede n sya mag close ulit... Seriously.... Anyone want Gregg as their closer? Offer naman kayo ng SP or picks.... Quote Link to comment
Ankiseth
Bro DH - Dikit naman ang match up natin 7-5 lang naman. But ok lang din kahit na hindi mo tinginan ang ST - Pwede rin hindi mo na pansinin yung team mo for the week. Quote Link to comment
Jongkers
@ajbI'm glad we're not. With three categories practically gone, my best hope for this week is a 6-6 na lang. And pray that my injured bats hold up. Edited August 7, 2008 by Jongkers Quote Link to comment
