I still stand on my assessment on what Hughes and Kennedy are, the potential for them to become superstar is still there...

if we're talking potential, I agree, it's tough to knock that.

still, making it happen is a different animal altogether.

if they continue to underwhelm, they might end up starring for someone else.

 

and to be fair, it's a New York thing more than anything.

I agree with you there bro, that's why I never expected dominating performances from them night in and night out. their bad games at the start of the year I chalk up to growing pains and actually, if I'm not mistaken, Kennedy was starting to turn the corner before he got injured.

 

 

Hughes, on the other hand, after that good if not great debut last season seemed to struggle until he got injured. the injury might have been the reason for his awful performances but I'm not going to make that as an excuse for him...

actually its not a New York thing alone, it's the Steinbrenner thingy. just a couple or three more DL stints and hughes didnt do better than pavano in the health department.. i dont know if there's even a physical injury last year, an "ego injury" hurts more at this young stage of his career.. still puzzled why NYY wasnt able to cough up kennedy in the johan race..
