in1995, 5k, now 10k is fair enough.

UP graduate: 10k

DLSU grad: as much as 20k

UST grad: 8k

others: ikaw pa magbayad for experience.

huh??? Ganun ba?? Is it only those three universities you mentioned that gets fair payment for a civil engineer while the others are not??

Pano na mga kagaya ko??? How about the mapuan's? Do companies look down in the graduates of MIT? Ganun ba ang tingin nila sa amin?? Just one of those colleges that continues to produce professionals na walang trabaho??

ME<<<MAPUA GRAD and BOARD PASSER

But still had difficulty of getting a fair job. :boo:

hey people,

honestly speaking what can you say about MAPUA GRADUATES from your own opinion. Ok lang kahit negative po. I just want to know how you people look at us professionally ha.

Kasi I cant rely on what my MIT tells me, of course they will only say good things about us to encourage more students to enroll to them. it's just that it is mention here that if you are a graduate of UP, DLSU, UST e you can get fair jobs. How about us diba? What can you say po?? Is mapua that bad?

sendo I am a Mapua gradute 1980's so matagal na.

I have interviewed a lot of engineers, newly graduate and experienced ones.

Sad to say, at about the mid 90's I can't discern the difference between a graduate of MIT or TIP. I guess MIT have employed a lot of instructors who are new graduates and cannot even share a practical experience to their students. Some of them are even lazy and dont bother to teach at all. (If you are an old ME you will know Noche, Tang, Jones, et. al.)

I dont know about the selection process of the student during entrance exam but during our days when you ask around about their NCEE scores, I think the average is about 95% and yet only about 25% of the new student will finish their engineering at MIT.

One indication is the board exam, our batch ME has 7 on the top ten including the number 1, but now it is luck if you see MIT in the top ten. Daig pa ng provincial school.

Nevertheless, everything being equal I still hired a lot of MIT graduates at madali namang turuan and they have been succesful in their career.

without being sarcastic methinks your salary is rather low...USD2K, includes transpo and housing allowance... so more or less ang basic mo USD1.7K?

Yes Sir, I'm in Taiwan. Medyo mababa nga yun but good enough for a neophyte like me. Bawi na lang sa OT.

Btw, we have service vehicle picking us up to and from the office. Kung may alam kang pwede lipatan, could you please post in here? :)
