hi guys help me out here, my toshiba 2400 cd drive died , i called up tricom and was shock to hear an asking price of p20k , for my cddrive to be replace ... are there any shops in GILmore , greenhills that specialize in replacing my cd drive w a instant dismantle & isert a whole new DVD drive in it ?

 

i cant go for ext drive coz of usb 1

that store is robbing you blind!!! cd drives for notebooks pc's don't cost that much. even if you factor in labor, it really shouldn't amount to p20K.

 

check this out, a DVD burner for notebook pc's for $90!

if you really can't find an affordable internal cd drive. just get an external USB drive and usb hub to go along with it.

wowwa layo ng price . last time nagpa replace me ng 2 hinges and i paid p1980 sa tricom , bec wala parts sa sm west repair , can u advice places i should visit to have my drive replace ?

i need to get my motherboard replaced. its a samsung v25 and it would cost around P25000. wala na bang cheaper alternative? tapos sabi nila kung trade in ko daw yung motherboard sa kanila less P1650 daw eh yun lang yung cost ng diagnostics nila. ang mahal naman! :cry:

nagpa-repair kami sa SOS ng monitor, malabo na kasi siya. nagawa naman kaso lumabo ulit kaya baka mas maganda pang bumili na lang ng bago kasi mahal magpagawa.

 

anyway, may bumibili ng old computers etc sa sta. mesa. opposite ng sm.

dati nagpa repair kami, total blackout ung monitor, ngawa naman sya ng maayos (tagal nga lang 3weeks ata)... tapos 1+ year lng nasira narin agad ganun padin sira, eto nkatambak d2, bumili na lang kami bago, kc halos kalahati na presyo pag nagpagawa ka...

We don't usually repair PC components, we replace them. Pag nag repair ka, ok gagana pero its already ticking and then sira uli. So to avoid the inconvenience, better replace your monitor. It won't be cheaper but it's garaunteed to work way way longer than the repaired one.

tama bili nalang ng 2nd hand...learned it the hart way. 2 pc shops ko yng unang branch halos sunod sunod cra ng monitor, pag pinagawa 4-8mos cra ulit. sinubukan ko bili mga 2nd hand 17" monitor 2.5k all of them over a yr na ok padin kesa sa 1k pag nagparepair ka ng monitor.
