di naman sa galit bro... nawalan lang ng gana.. before BOW na BOW ako sa kanila.. kasama pa nga ako sa nagrally regarding sa STICKER on HELMET eh... ipinaglalaban ang DESKRIMINASYON sa mga naka MC.. tapos sila din pala mahilig magDescriminate.... pag ikaw nakaSANDALS or TSINELAS... babansagan ka nila na PASAWAY... kahit na matino ka magmaneho... at meron dun nag-claim na traffic violation daw ito.. well, its good na dapat lahat me proper gears... for SAFETY.. pero judging a RIDER na PASAWAY dahil sa suot na ito.. eh kahangalan...

i agree with you bro.. pati ako nawalan na ng gana. it used to be very informative and exciting. pero ngayon puro na lang issues issues issues. heck, most of them are even very sensitive when talked about their bikes. pagalingan, pagandahan, payabangan.. hahaha! napaka-idealistic pa eh sila-sila rin naman ganun.

i made a thread sa Web-related regarding the appropriateness of some avatars and signatures because some were really very vulgar for a motorcycle forum. of course many idealists agreed and supported my thread, even the moderators. but after a while, na-delete pa nga yung thread ko eh. nagsorry naman yung isang mod.. pero when I started reporting members with inappropriate avatars and sigs, ako ba naman ang i-ban? tama ba yun? <_<

don't get me wrong here. I still like MCP and visit the forum once in a while. it taught me many things about my bike. ang ayoko lang eh yung mismanagement ng forum. iilan lang kasi ang moderators eh.

looks like you're getting a motorcycle just for the appearance or "pogi points". hehe..

advice lang.. ducati in the provinces? I can't imagine riding a ducati through a GRAVEL DIRT ROAD or sungkaan road. better get the 250 cc big bikes if gusto mo maiba and maporma pa rin ang dating.

Ducatis are very nice bikes, but it's rather impractical to use them on the provinces unless you do go to manila often. italian bikes and cars have a particular habit to break down unexpectedly. It comes with the ownership and passion that one must have.

2nd hand Ducati monsters from year 2000 may cost @ 300k at Access Plus.

Maintenance? Change oil every 5000km = @7.5k for the set.

You can't just buy an aftermarket piece of equipment meant for a jap bike and install it on a Ducati.

Better go for any japanese bike for the provinces, better, get a Ducati and leave it at home.

For when Petrol runs out, and my grandkids asked me what bike i used to ride, I'll proudly say "I rode a Ducati!"

Sir John, if you're really considering a take-you-anywhere bike, I'd highly suggest get a 400cc honda s4. Very reliable, and parts are abundant. Seating is comfortable. price would range from 100-160k for the non vtec models also depending on condition. Also, you can zoom past cars on the NLEX.

If you're going to buy an UB, it'll be more practical, but from the provinces to manila and back on a UB? Hmmmm, but some people actually do it.

If you have cash, why not flaunt it. It you can buy a BMW320i, would you also consider a KIA Picanto? Its a matter of preference, style, and buying power.

Happy hunting!

Its for your own safety bro, why wear sandals instead of shoes? Nagmamadali? Tina-tamad mag suot?

When I visited POC (Philippine Orthopedic Center) in Banawe, Q.C., there was this guy who had his 4th and 5th toes amputated because he hit his right foot on a big rock, eh lowered pa naman daw bike niya. Get the point po?

Mostly bikers here in our country is uneducated. Imagine, for only 3.5k as downpayment and @ 2.5k monthly, one can own a MC!!! Kahit yung yosi vendor sa tapat namin may SYM Magic eh.

I used mostly, not all.

Have you seen a bike riding fellow wearing sando, shorts, and slippers on a major thoroughfare? I've seen many along Shaw blvd, Kalayaan ave, Quezon ave, Commonwealth, etc... Would you do the same?

:flowers:

your right yellowferoza, ducati monster can shell you out a minimum of 200k++ for a 98 duc 400 monster and up to 700++ for a 2007 model duc s4rs(900cc). for the provinces??? hmm bakit hindi.. but please keep in mind that you have to maintain the bike and yes tama po si yelloferoza that u will spend 3-10k per period including tune-up,change oil, etc. (may chain pa yan, bearings, clutch disk that can go as high as 7k per set). Yes, super 4's are now so in demand bec of reliabilty and easy to use and maintain.. it can go to a 100k to newer model for 500k (super 4 big1, type s, type r, spec 1,2,3 nd hyper vtecs.)

About the sounds of motorstar Z200/Z250 wag mo ng asahang tutunog sya like "big bikes" bec it only have 1 cylinder and most big bike have 4 cylinders so malaking deperensya. Pero in terms of maintenance and looks ok na motorstar tipid sa gas and easy to modify and maintain. But, if your a begginer with bikes/big bikes stick to smaller displacements first then upgrade if you have enough experience para di nman masayang bike pag na spill. But still you have all the decision if you are going to buy a 400cc up bike. Always remember to be safe and drive defensively and offensively. Hope this helps. Ride Safe and Happy hunting.

guys, pahingi nga ng advice or tips.

who among you have tried going up to baguio on your bikes? I have already attempted and succeeded in riding my XRM 110 up and down baguio but I still need help. sanay ako sa kotse pagakyat at baba ng baguio.

problem ko ay sa curves. saan ba ako pwepwesto on a two-way highway specifically sa curves? malakas ang hatak ng UB xrm ko sa paakyat but problem ko lang talaga sa curves. dito ko nakita (and naramdaman) ang advantage ng motor in terms of acceleration as compared to automobiles. feeling ko kasi nasasayang ang acceleration ko because of my slow curve turns.

In terms of classic Mechanics of force, mas ok mag curve sa outer curve because of the Centripetal force.

Pero practically speaking, nasa taas ka ng bangin, if I were you I would go for the smaller curve which is away from the heights. Yup masasayang talaga ang hatak mo don pero safer yon.

Ang mura naman ng S4 kung 100k-160k lang sya. Better buy a 400cc kesa yung CBR 150 na 140k.
