You can argue all you Want, he's still the MVP. Unfortunately for Curry, he never had the type of physique that those other so called 2 way players have. He makes it up with his effort and positioning tho. It is what it is. Di ko din naman nakita si James Harden na bantayan ung best player ng other team ah pero bakit naging 2nd siya sa MVP voting last year tapos 3rd this year? Pwede mo sabihin na same category sila ni Curry when it comes to defense but they also considered him for MVP or one of the best player in the league. Stupid na lang ng coach kung ilalagay mo si Curry sa mas malaki and athletic na player sa defense. It's like putting CP3 against LeBron or Melo. Di lahat ng best player or MVP may defense. Tanungin mo na lang si steve Nash. It is what it is. You can argue all you want, but he still is the league's MVP. Blame the AP and coaches for that.

Curry got the MVP because of his offensive prowess. His historic Shooting numbers, and his range is unheard of, and it melts even the best defenses down. He's at his best when hitting those ridiculous shots, allowing his drives to the basket, and more space for his teammates. He's not a stalwart defensively pero he's nothing to be scoffed at. He may be weak sa 1 on 1 defense, pero sa weakside help, he is good, hence he leads the league in steals. He guards the lesser offensively capable Player in the other Team kasi the Coach wants him to focus sa offense. The Thing with that is, that they have a defensive juggernauts in Klay, Green and Bogut, that Curry can Focus heavily on his offense. The fact that he's the MVP on a great Team means a lot. He may not be the most athletic, or talented, but he's the most valuable player.

Also, Marketing. HAHA Curry sells, an MVPs should sell. The NBA remains to be a Business and it should be treated that way.

Kinda agree with NBA being rigged since it is involved in a lot of betting in Vegas as evidence by Tim Donaghy (sic) too. But we will never know what goes on behind the scene in the NBA since they see things differently from what we perceive.

Also, not trying to be rude or disrespectful, but I think when Nash won the MVP, he was going up against Kobe and LeBron, not Shaq. Those were the years when Kobe led the league in scoring but was stuck with Smush Parker and Chris Mihm as his teammates. Oh, and the number overall draft pick bust, Kwame Brown! Lol

Kidd then Payton. last ko pipiliin si Nash. mas complete players sila Kidd at Payton dahil they play defense.

Great defense by the Warriors. Plays for their offense are silky smooth and they are consistent even when SC30 is on the bench. They just need to be composed in the next 2 games and continue harassing LBJ. Finally Bogut showing signs of life! For the Cavs: Kyrie and Love need to be in their A game to support LBJ. #dubnation #strentghinnumbers

With Cavs losing the first 2 games with a big margin, I feel it might be GSW in 4 or 5 games

LET'S GO WARRIORS.

CURRY AND THOMPSON needs to step up for game 3 and 4!!!

if the 2nd stringers of golden state could wallop the BEST player in the worlds team, imagine how much more the stars of the yellow & blue squad could chip in to romp the cavaliers to a sweep

Watching the Cavs play in this finals is disappointing to say the least. They aren't playing with any passion or heart. The least you could do even if you are down, is to keep playing and competing and they're not doing that. As a group, it seems like they have "Checked out" mentally. They seem to have no motivation and confidence in their play. Curry and Thompson aren't even playing up to their potential and yet Cleveland isn't showing any effort with the other players of the WArriors. Watching each quarter is like they're not even showing the least bit of resistance. If they're going to show no effort at all then they should just forfeit game 3 and 4 because its not fair to the fans to be witnesses to this kind of pathetic showing from them. At least they should show effort and passion

I enjoyed watching the Western Conference Finals than this pathetic effort from the Cavs

Anyway, this story should be a nice change of pace while waiting for one more day before game 3.

During the post game 2 press conference, Klay Thompson declared jokingly that they are the better team than his dad's Showtime Lakers.

As expected, Magic Johnson replied in kind.

Magic Johnson: My 'Showtime' Lakers would beat the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors may have set the record for wins in a season and are two games away from capturing a second straight NBA championship, but don't tell Magic Johnson they could beat his "Showtime" version of the Los Angeles Lakers.

And that especially goes for Warriors guard Klay Thompson and his father, Mychal Thompson, coincidentally a member of those famed Lakers teams.

Klay Thompson caught the ear of Johnson after the Warriors dismantled the Cleveland Cavaliers 110-77 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday.

"We are better than the 'Showtime' Lakers," Klay Thompson said, interrupting teammate Draymond Green, who was asked whether the Warriors could be compared to a team from a previous era.

"I think it's all subjective," Green said before Thompson jumped in. "To say we're better than the 'Showtime' Lakers, how can you say that? We never played them."

Mychal Thompson, a member of two of the Lakers' five championship teams in the 1980s, knows.

"I admit this. We would shoot. And we shot eight 3s a game. They make eight 3s a quarter," Mychal Thompson said Monday on the Thompson and Trudell Show on ESPN LA 710. "Golden State would outscore us 50-15 on 3s. So how are we supposed to win? So I agree with Klay, I think they would beat us. We couldn't keep up with them offensively because of the way they can score so quickly."

Johnson disagreed.

"We've never seen two guys who can shoot like Steph [Curry] and Klay [Thompson], and I give them that," Johnson said Tuesday on First Take. "But they've never ran up against somebody like us. I'm telling you, whoever is going to dog me, I'm going to be wearing them down. I'm going to be wearing them out. James Worthy will be wearing them out, wearing them down. Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar] is going to be wearing them out, wearing them down."

"Klay's dad, Mychal Thompson, is one of the smartest players I've ever played with in all of basketball," Johnson added. "But, the Warriors would have bad matchups against us. There's no way they're going to deal with Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar]. There's no way they're going to deal with James Worthy. The thing that we could do, that would affect them and cause some problems, is that we could set up and we could run on them on the fast break."

Mychal Thompson played a key frontcourt role in the Lakers' back-to-back titles in 1987-88 before retiring in 1991.

"I am a man secure in my legacy, secure in my accomplishments," Mychal Thompson said. "I don't have to be all 'Oh, we're better than them.' I'm not that grumpy old man even though I sound like that many a time. But I can admit when the new era is better than something else or that's changed from the time I played. And the way they play. We would have a hard time keeping up cause like I said, our game wasn't shooting 3s, which theirs are. And 3 beats 2."

Johnson agrees the Warriors are good for the NBA and that their style of play is exciting, but the five-time champion and three-time Finals MVP is still sticking with "Showtime."

"I think what [Curry and Thompson] have done for the league has been amazing," Johnson told First Take. "They are going to be great for this league, the NBA, for a long time, especially if they sign Steph to a long-term contract. But at the same time, I'm never going to give in to nobody -- I don't care who it is. I don't care what Mychal said. ... My 'Showtime' Lakers would beat the Warriors. I don't care what you say or anybody else. I'm coming at them and I'm coming hard at them."
