franchising is a promising business...low risk and 97% success rate...it is the fastest rising business concept in the Phils. now.... i've done networking pero it is very tedious and you may not recover ur money....and there are lots of pyramid scams posing as legit mlm's. so beware of that...scams are everywhere

i augmented my income months back by buying used PlayStation and selling it for profit.. also buy and sell of small digicams ... i also tried selling my own stuff that is no longer being used at home...with price much higher than when i bought it years back... :)

starting a business... depende naman 'yan sa skills mo e. okay ka ba'ng sales? o nasa IT ka? kung magaling ka'ng magluto, food industry. gym is good kung ang background mo nasa gym. pero, am not so hot on the promise of making $30 per day (promise lang 'yon, hindi guaranteed) at the risk of losing $2k. the upside is you start making money after 67 days. the downside is you lose your money and would have to come up with more. been there, done that during the high of the internet market -- day trading. for me, IT consulting, doon ang skills ko. (http://www.espeleta.net.) ang tanong: ano ang hilig mo?

atsaka, depende rin pala sa location mo. example: di ka pwede tinda ng bigas kung nakatira ka sa community na bukiran ng palay.

criteria for starting a business:

1. define the need by assessing lacks of target community

2. determine personal skills and whether that is enough to fill the need (#1). If not, must hire personnel;

2. define the services that would service that need;

3. define cost to provide service(s) (personnel? equipments? etc.);

4. define cost to market service(s) (flyers, banners, newspapers/magazine ads, etc.);

5. based on 3 and 4, formulate how much you will charge to cover the overhead and make a profit.

based on 3 and 4, you will find that you can either be competitive or your potential customers would be better off going to bigger organizations.

again, all depends upon your location, your skills, and the help (employees -- meaning more overhead) you will require.

good luck! tanong lang kayo if you need help.

Gents and Ladies,

I have a garment company making office uniforms for mens and ladies. These are the clothings being worn by employees in banks, offices, etc. For guys it's either barong or long-sleeved shirt with pants and for girls it's blouse with skirt or pants and a blazer to go with it.

Anyone, who have contacts with human resouces dept, purchasing or companies requiring office uniforms please pm me for commissions.

Thanks!

hhhmmmm, when i was in Japan....they were selling used undies.

Girl goes to store and offers her undies.

Mas mataas yung bili sa undies kung on the spot huhubarin ng girl.

Then ilalagay sa air tight plastic to preserve whatever comes with the undies.

Do u think may demand for such item sa pinas?

Whoa! A fellow Kiyosaki fan. I myself am in a business as described by his books - wealth creation, financial advising, investment strategies, etc. Perhaps we can network sometime in the future since setting up a school is among my life goals ?:) By the way, I managed to acquire all his books and board games though I hardly have time to read them anymore since I'm practically living it :)

About Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) or 'Networking' companies:

First of all, you have to choose the right one:

There are the legit MLM companies wherein you DON'T need to cash out so much just to be a member, has tangible, unique, high-quality & useful products, does not have a limit to the number of direct lines, and has SEC & DTI approval to engage in MLM (i.e. Nu Skin, Amway, Forever Living, Symmetry) . Then there are the 'Pyramiding' companies where a registration fee of thousands of pesos are required (although you may get some product/s worth far less that what you invested), no unique product (their products can be bought in your neares department store or Mercury outlet), you can only have 2/3/5 lines, and may be registered with SEC & DTI but not as an MLM company. These offer QUICK & EASY money (i.e Multitel, imagine 7-15% interest on your investment)

The Difference:

In MLM, you need first to build an organization of users, retailers and networker builders wherein the product/s will move. When the foundation (the network) has been laid, that's the time a steady & substantial residual income will follow. Whereas in Pyramiding, you first need to invest (thousands of) money and to gain it back, you recruit people who will invest their money who will recruit people and so on and so forth.

The catch:

The first few months (or sometimes even a year) may not yield big income (sowing period). This may require A LOT of patience and perseverance but afterwards, the residual income may continue to come for years (reaping). While in Pyramiding, the first few weeks/months may have OVERWHELMING results, the chances that this will last is virtually NIL. Moreover, laws have been passed against this kind of system.

The Bottomline:

If you're looking for a quick buck but not too worried about the future, go for Pyramiding. But if you want a change in life (have Personal, Financial & Time Freedom), go for MLM. It may be hard at first but the results are well worth it!

These opinions are based on my own personal knowledge & experiences with different 'Networking' companies. Corrections or reactions to the contrary are welcome. :)

thanks for the info, GalaItiAN! :cool:

you enlightened us about the difference between the legitimate mlm business and pyramiding. sometimes kasi, people using the term "mlm", "pyramiding", "networking" interchangeably. porket may term na networking akala na nila eh pyramiding yun.

during the multitel issue, mas maraming naging aware about mlm business. ok na sana eh. pero ang malungkot, they learned the business in a wrong perspective. yung iba sabi, kapag networking eh scam yun... :( so bad for the legit mlm companies out there...

still, proper education and right information is the key to know the potential of mlm business. know what, base sa research ko, sa US alone, multibillion ang business industry ng mlm. so talagang it can change your whole life. yung nga lang, sabi mo nga it takes a lot of patience, perseverance, faith and dedication sa business na ito for you to succeed.

about me, i have my own small business using my only one pc sa haus. i create computer programs exclusively, for small business establishments. most of my clients are fil-chinese dyan sa bandang binondo business center na may-ari ng mga hardware stores, drugstore, restaurants and small convenient stores. (thanks God they know how to talk tagalog kahit konti...) pero part time lang yun. i do it after mga office hours na and weekends para hindi conflict sa time. this is only to augment the fix salary i get sa pinapasukan ko.

anybody out there thinking to have their own business for income augmentation, wag na kayong magdalawang isip. go for it!!! just choose a business that fits to your skills and budget. :D
