Imagine back before all those hijackings in the 70's by the PLO, my uncle would buy bullets in the US and check these into his hand carried luggage. He was actually allowed to bring on board ammunition for his many guns in Manila (this was before martial law) . Contrast this today where you can't even bring a pair of scissors in your carry-on luggage. Quote Link to comment

Where crowds were probably one fifth the number they are today. When heinous crimes were more of the exception than the rule. And when people in general obeyed traffic laws. Quote Link to comment
