rgcotswold
also went to visit the bontoc museum... find it interesting however the provincial goverment could have done better by better educating their own curator who does not now a bit about bontoc history... tsk tsk tsk... the artifacts are nice... but could expand more on doing background er as to the early settler (both indeginous/foreign) of the region.... i believe the way to bring out the best in our country is not only thru the sight but as well the information they could impart to visitors... destron
u should also try some of their native delicacies such as lemon pie ohh before i forgot bring urself a night life THE SAGADA CURFEW IS 9 PM AND ALL STORES ARE CLOSE AT THAT TIME Oh. Nocturnal pa naman ako. Small bars with live acoustic music wouldnt hurt sana. Is the place dangerous at night? Some other questions:What are the trip schedules of the cabletours buses?Does the place have enough hotels/motels for the holyweek crowd or most are just homestays (bed and fan)? Speksto
wow.. nakaka-miss sagada. went here october of 2002. we stayed sa st. josephs. yeah may curfew pero enjoy pa rin kasi jamming lang usually with mga kasama sa hotel. got to meet new friends. yung route namin papunta was thru baguio eh. yung mini-bus alam ko mas maganda kung morning kayo umalis. they don't do after lunch trips kasi ayaw nila maabutan ng dilim sa road kasi medyo dangerous (pero from the last feedback i got from a friend who went there, inaayos or naayos na yata yung highway papunta ng sagada). kutsara't Tinidor
we went here 3 weekends ago.....ayuz! ok - if you're goal is nature trip....... we rode Autobus sa espana at 10pm, then two rides pa from Banawe - - dapat pala kasama sa itenerary nyo yung "Batad" sa Banawe to see the best angle of Banawe's rice terraces - - may nakasabay kasi kaming friend ko na experienced - yun ang ite nila. We then travelled to Bagiuo through Lizardo bus, ganda ng view ng mountains and zigzags from Sagada to Bagiuo - - tagal nga lang ng byahe, sakit sa pwet....=) Quote Link to comment
blazt
For those who have travelled on board Cabletours bus and Autobus to Banaue and Bontoc, can you please describe the condition or interior of their buses. Is it comfortable enough? Are they like the buses of Victory Liner? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

They're pretty old but comfortable enough to get you there. If you are a backpacker, you wouldn't mind the interior. The air conditioning sometimes fail but you won't need it once you get past Nueva Vizcaya. By the way, bring a small pillow, a jacket and a beanie... don't be surprised if the other folks in the bus suddenly pulls out some blankets :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

Kartero
Ive been to Sagada last May 2007. Ibang klase! Its really a must visit site for nature lovers! Dapat maunang puntahan ang sagada bago mangibang bansa. Went with a couple of friends, our budget was 3500 each for 4 day and 3 nights. Busog ka na nun araw araw! Make sure that you visit the cave and the waterfalls! Even with the bat poop in thew cave, seeing the rock formations and crystal clear water at the end of the cave is priceless! hahaha Lamig nang tubig at sarap maligo! Da best talaga sagada. In terms of nightlife, wala masyado. Pero kanya kanyang diskarte na yan kung anong gagawin nyo. One more thing, you just might want to bring a compact water heater with you when you go there. hahaha :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

daclown
anyone here been to marlboro country and lake danum? been to lake danum, but this was 2 years ago. to get there, ride a jeep from sagada going to besao. just tell the driver that you're going to lake danum. it's a man -made lake, not too majestic if you would ask me. bring a picnic blanket, food and something to drink. a good book may also come in handy. jeepneys are a rarity in sagada so you might walk all the way back to sagada proper for about an hour. enjoy the view! :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
