tk421
You are right. Now their MRT is way better than ours. But comparing it 10 years ago, we can compete with their standards. Our MRT line has been in decline ever since. It didn't start with the bald man-child's admin... it was in decline even before that even from GMA's term, but you wouldn't know that because you weren't one of its daily commuters. will robie
It was screwed up even during GMA's presidency, or haven't you noticed? You don't say? The last time I checked, it started to screw up badly during the moron's time. During GMA's time, it still ran satisfactorily.Ah sige. So in the extreme case na gumanda nga ang condition MRT, remember this, ah. Duterte would not have anything to do with it. Got it.Are you gonna be affected if I say that Duterte is responsible for it? I am entitled to my opinion and if I say that Duterte is responsible for it, can you do something about it? tk421
You don't say? The last time I checked, it started to screw up badly during the moron's time. During GMA's time, it still ran satisfactorily. Check harder than what your limited memory can remember. I didn't say it was as bad in GMA's time. But I did say the deterioration started there. When it was fairly new (fresh from GMA's 9-year reign), it was still ok (being just a few years old), mid-way through her 9-year term it was starting to show signs of neglect (station elevators/escalators not functioning, cabin aircon blowing hot air instead of cool air, etc). Are you gonna be affected if I say that Duterte is responsible for it? I am entitled to my opinion and if I say that Duterte is responsible for it, can you do something about it? Not really. We can also say that Duterte is responsible for the woes that MRT is suffering now and the continued suffering of the commuting public because of his pettiness. And we're entitled to that opinion as you are to your's. Quote Link to comment

Haha! Don't let your bias affect your judgement on how the MRT was running during GMA's time. GMA wasn't exactly a media favorite but even yellow media wasn't critical of the MRT during her administration. Not really. This is not even an opinion. It is a fact. Quote Link to comment

It is improving now because the DOTR is doing something about it. Edited November 30, 2018 by will robie Quote Link to comment

tk421
Like you know. You don't even ride it. June 28, 2004 – A northbound train stopped in between the Guadalupe and Boni stations after a power line broke, reportedly due to a fluctuation in the power supply. Train trips from Taft to Shaw stations were temporarily suspended. Panicking passengers caused a minor stampede, but no one got hurt. August 12, 2004 – A southbound train stopped near the Kamuning station due to another power line breakage. Passengers were forced to go out and walk towards the stations to avoid being stranded. Trips were suspended from Shaw Boulevard to North Avenue stations. October 8, 2005 – A damaged track caused the wheels of a train taking a turnaround at the North Avenue station to go off the rails. Northbound and southbound operations between the Shaw and North Avenue stations were suspended in the morning, and were resumed in the afternoon after the damaged track was repaired. June 6, 2009 – A short circuit caused a small fire at a southbound train heading toward the Cubao station. The driver said he immediately turned off the engine after smoke was detected. The short circuit was reportedly caused by water seepage due to heavy rains in the past days. I'm not including the ones during the bald man's terms as I'm not contesting that there were no problems then. But the incidents above show that the deterioration happened even before then. You didn't include those during Baldie's term, because during your moron idol's administration, it was several times a month! Ang keyword eh DETERIORATION. Meaning unti-unting nasisira or palala nang palala. Like you know. You don't even ride it.
