Our predicament with regards to traffic boils down to one factor. Discipline.

Kailangan ng efficient public mass transport. Walang first world country na umasenso na walang matinong tren at public mass transport.

 

Logic check: Isn't it that the First World countries have top-of-the-line public mass transport system precisely because they are a first world country and can afford it?

 

We have the best MRT system that our limited budget can buy. But Abnoy's administration let it deteriorate for the past 6 years of their watch.

Isn't it logical to ask the agency instead of asking stupid questions? Besides, did the problem start with the Duterte administration? It started with the inutile Aquino regime. Don't expect Duterte to be superman because he can't undo in a whiff what six years of incompetence did to the MRT.

So dapat in 4.5 years may 100% na improvement na ang MRT, 'no? That's enough time na din siguro. Sabi niyo naman mataas ang GDP ngayon at economy is booming. I'm sure kakayanin yan ng tatay Digong niyo.

Our MRT line has been in decline ever since. It didn't start with the bald man-child's admin... it was in decline even before that even from GMA's term, but you wouldn't know that because you weren't one of its daily commuters.

When it was fairly new (fresh from GMA's 9-year reign), it was still ok (being just a few years old), mid-way through her 9-year term it was starting to show signs of neglect (station elevators/escalators not functioning, cabin aircon blowing hot air instead of cool air, etc).
