May bad experience ako sa MGE pero I think medyo bad mood lang din yung driver at sinabayan ko pa ng sungit kaya nag pang abot kami pero so far ok ang service ng 2 yan. Kapag wala talagang makuhang MGE or R & E sakay ako sa ibang taxi and I expect a slightly higher fare. Usually +10 pesos or15 pesos. Quote Link to comment

crazykalbo Posted June 7, 2008 Share Posted June 7, 2008 tama ka jan. had a lousy experience with a "mandurugas" last thursday. i rode a taxi with my mom and my mistake is flagging down a no-name (di sikat na and white yung color ng car) taxi. from edsa mrt to our place in ever commonwealth, the usual fare for non-cheating taxis is P100-P120.00. the taxi we rode last thursday charged P165.00 upon reaching our destination. good thing is i've noticed his meter going crazy when we were still cruising along Philcoa. I was surprised to see that it's already P70.00 from Edsa to Philcoa with the fact that the flag down rate hasnt moved from P30.00 yet. After noticing something fishy, I monitored the taxi meter and it was increasing by 2.50 pesos per 20 seconds! I caputered the meter going nuts on my camfone for evidence. Then when we reached our destination, I confronted the driver head on. I told him there's something wrong with his meter and mentioned that rate increases every 20 seconds. He was cocky and confident when he said "Tama lang metro ko no!" so I got really pissed, went out of the taxi, slammed the door, started cursing him, and since I'm a big guy (used to be a power athlete), I went over his door and opened it. Sabi ko "Gusto mo ayusin ko yang mukha mo kasama yang metro mo? T*ngina ka pala eh! Sinong niloloko mo eh araw araw ako taxi from MRT papunta dito! Bumaba ka jan!" Hahahaha! Natakot naman sya and apologized to my mom who then paid him the correct amout of P120.00. it might have been an OA reaction to the taxi driver but I was really pissed when he sounded so confident about his meter. Sorry na lang sya, di ako nagogoyo agad. Kung wala yung mom ko dun to stop me, gulpi sarado ung driver na yun. Quote Link to comment

Agent_mulder Posted July 12, 2008 Share Posted July 12, 2008 (edited) I usually take a cab pag may gimik at ako ang nagsasabi kung saang route ang dadaanan namin pag medyo nag-iba na sa gusto ko umaangal ako kasi 'yung mga pinadadaanan ko sa kanya kabisado ko at sigurado akong walang traffic doon kaya more or less alam ko na ang dapat kong ilabas or naka-ready sa front pocket ko. Pero OK lng sa akin, I tend to listen to them and as much as possible, nagdadagdag ako lalo na pag mabait ang driver, plus 30-50 pesos. Merong driver na laging nag papalatak, tsk tsk...hehe yan pag ganyan..walang dagdag. mangisay sya... hehehe :goatee: Quote Link to comment

Just dont give the driver any surprises like suddenly going off course without notice. So long as the pathway is consistent for a particular trip, walang problema sa kanila. Walang Xtra Sa Dollar pa ako na Experience. I just put what is on the meter. I just don't know how this impact on your meter kung may price increase na sila with the plus 10 peso gimmick at the end of the trip. Quote Link to comment
tantantinin Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 happened last thurs night to my dad. medyo matanda na siya at malabo na mata. needed to ride the taxi kasi nagmamadali umuwi.left his car at my sis's house. 180 ang bill so sa labo ng mata niya he handed thetaxi driver w/c he thought 200 bucks and told him keep the change. pero 500 bucks ang naabot niya.hindi niya napansin. tuwang tuwa driver . sayang wala kami ng barkada ko sa labas at nag iinuman.....tsk tsk tsk Quote Link to comment

mistere57 Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 R&E, MGE have reputations of being dependable pero i guess depende din sa driver ng taxi kasi may mga hindi sikat na taxi akong nasakyan na ok naman ang service... ang hirap kasi alam ng mga taxi drivers na they can get away with their katarantaduhan kaya they take advantage of passengers.... i remember when i was in davao, grabe ang mga taxi drivers dun ultimo piso na sukli binabalik kahit sabihin mo na keep the change ayaw pumayag... dapat siguro magkaroon ng takot ang mga abusadong driver para tumino... Sa driving naman nila walang pakialam kung may mababangga sila basta cut na lang ng cut. Wala rin respeto sa pedestrian,gusto pang unahan yung taong nakatawid na at muntik ng mahagip ng taxi nila.
