bubuy
To all AC Milan Fans: AC Milan has just signed PSV Eindhoven's Johann Vogel. This guy is one good midfielder. What's up with PSV?! Nagtatapon sila ng mga magagaling na players. They're also planning on signing Udinese Calcio's Marek Jankulovski and Parma FC's striker, Alberto Gilardino - this guy can be a good backup for Andriy. Confirmed na ba na babalik sa Chelsea si Crespo? Kasi ang alam ko loaned lang sya eh.Para naman sa mga ManU fans: They've signed up Fullham's GK Edwin Van der Sar. I think he's pretty old for the team.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>djflip i didnt know u were into football.. :thumbsupsmiley: ganun talaga pag di gaano kalaki club mo, big euro clubs will gobble up your players.. heck sometimes nasa contract pa ng player to have a big-club escape clause.. as for hernan crespo, i think chelsea will let go of him.. i notice that argentinian players are not suited for the english style of play.. remeber juan sebastien veron? as for GKs, IMHO, the older they get the wiser they become.. GKs have longer careers (on average and observation only ) than other field players, sometimes they play till they are 36.. and Van der Sar's return to a big club like ManU, might just be what the doctor ordered for his career.. btw, is he still the dutch #1? bubuy
who needs ronaldo?RIO DE JANEIRO, June 6 (Reuters) - Brazil flourished in Ronaldo's absence and produced one of their best performances since the last World Cup in their 4-1 defeat of Paraguay in Porto Alegre. Striker Robinho subjected the visitors to his full repertoire of tricks, Ronaldinho and Kaka were in inspired form and midfielder Ze Roberto produced arguably his best display in a Brazil shirt in Sunday's World Cup qualifier. Brazil, with Adriano and Robinho in attack, passed the ball around more freely and created more chances than they do when Ronaldo is on the field. Santos forward Robinho showed all the charisma which has brought attention from top European clubs. He won the second of Brazil's penalties with one of his famous stepovers and capped his performance with the fourth goal. "It's good to play with intelligent players such as Ronaldinho and Kaka," he said.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>i was able to catch that match on tv.. indeed brazil's lineup is formidable with or without ronaldo.. the paraguayan's didnt have much to offer against brazil's vaunted attack.. brazil could have very well sent their under-21 team and still win.. _eRon_
pedro sampras think d best partner for john terry in defense is sol campbell.he plays better than rio.rio is crap. look what happened to man u.they got nothing. though rio is considered as the worlds most expensive defender , lately hes form is not at par with terry or campbell if the latter is not injured it's unfair to say that rio is crap because he was suspended for 8months, it's hard to cope after a long lay-off, not to say that campbell is not deserving for the starting spot.. bubuy Jun 4 2005, 11:21 PM if sven goes with campbell-terry combo at centre back, they will lose a lot of pace.. rio came out from an 8 month ban, so it is natural that he didnt have a good season for ManU.. so the dilemma now for sven, campbell coming back from injury, rio coming back from a long layoff and terry the hottest commodity at centre right now.. sven erikkson was the first to say that he will not play the 3 center backs together, as bubuy said it would be better to pair ferdinand & terry because they produce more pace for the squad.. i think van der sar is a good signing as the new #1 gk in manU, he is fairly consistent, has the height & is well experience due to being the #1 gk of holland.. brazil has dept in their squad, eventhough they didn't have ronaldo, they have adriano & rubinho.. good signing by ac milan, i hear they now have another talented midfielder to compliment pirlo, gattuso, seidorf, ambrosini, serginho & the versatile kaka.. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

bubuy
in that case, i think that both van der sar and man utd will benefit from this one.. roque santa cruz is paraguayan? i thought he was argentinian.. Quote Link to comment

turi_guilliano
yup psv's vogel is good, and psv isnt throwing its talents away, malaki lang oppurtunities sa labas ng netherlands.... u have to understand that the dutch league doesnt have the same audience and class as the other leagues like serie a and the spanish la liga... all good dutch players start in the dutch national league and breakthorugh either with psv, ajax or team orange... then they get signed by much larger teams like manchester united (van nistelrooy), ac milan (jaap stam&clarence seedorf) or arsenal (bergkamp), and yes even van der sar.... and the list goes on... what you should look out for are ajax's sneijder and van der vaart and psv's robben and heitinga...very young but very promising...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> erratum...my apologies...robben is with chelsea now while heitinga joins sneijder and vander vaart with ajax...
