panalo man.united 2-0, that's 3 pts. gained in the leaugue table.

malas nga lang at panalo din ang chelsea 4-1 against west ham despite playing with only 10 men for most of the game.

still 7 pts. seperates the two teams for the top spot, and still my bet stands.

plus 5 pts. man. united to overtake chelsea.

England: United knock off Arsenal; Chelsea hit their stride

Written by: Stephen Sharp(soccer-europe.com)

MANCHESTER, Apr 9 (SW) - Manchester United saw off rivals Arsenal with a victory at Old Trafford on Sunday, but they gained no ground on leaders Chelsea who overcame early adversity to crush West Ham United.

Manchester United - Arsenal 2-0

In front of a Premiership record crowd of 70,908 fans, Wayne Rooney twice nearly gave them the lead in the first half, but on both occasions new German number one Jens Lehmann thwarted the young striker.

That was not the case, though, in the 54th minute as Rooney gave United the lead with a thunderous shot after a nice ball in from Mikaël Silvestre, but Arsenal equalized through Emmanuel Adebayor, but his shot went over the bar.

The match was beyond doubt with 12 minutes to play as Rooney's cross found Ji-Sung Park, and the Korea Republic midfielder slotted home to secure the win.

Chelsea - West Ham United 4-1

Attempting to fend off a late challenge from United, Chelsea found their form on Sunday, thrashing London rivals West Ham at Stamford Bridge, despite an early deficit and dismissal.

Hammers center-back James Collins fired the visitors into the lead after just ten minutes when he headed home a Yossi Benayoun corner, and then Chelsea's situation got worse six minutes later as Maniche was given a straight red card for his harsh tackle on Lionel Scaloni.

The dismissal only seemed to open up things a bit for the Blues and they found an equalizer through Didier Drogba in the 29th minute, the Ivorian striker converting on the second chance after a long ball from Frank Lampard. Just two minutes later, Chelsea took the lead as Hernán Crespo pounced on a deflected Drogba shot.

West Ham were reeling despite having the extra man over Chelsea, but the Blues kept coming and skipper John Terry made it 3-1 in the 54th minute following a William Gallas shot off the crossbar, and Gallas finally got one of his own in the 69th minute to complete the rout.

Liverpool - Bolton Wanderers 1-0

Liverpool continued to strengthen their hold on third place as they beat a slipping Bolton side at Anfield Road. The results leaves Bolton's hopes of getting into the Champions League hanging by a thread.

Fan-favorite Robbie Fowler struck the winning goal for the Reds on the stroke of half-time from 18 yards out after some nice play between he and Peter Crouch.

Bolton never really got anything going for most of the game, and Liverpool held on with relative ease to claim the victory.

Middlesbrough - Newcastle United 1-2

After a thrilling comeback in the UEFA Cup on Thursday, Middlesbrough fell back to down to earth with a home loss to Newcastle.

Under a high amount of pressure from the Magpies attack, Boro's George Boateng gave Newcastle the lead just shy of the half-hour mark when the ball went in the net off of him with a sea of players converging.

Newcastle doubled the lead just before half-time when Shola Ameobi took advantage of an error by teammate Stephen Carr to beat Mark Schwarzer for a 2-0 lead.

Boateng put one in the right net in the 79th minute after a chested-down ball by Mark Viduka, and they nearly pulled level late on with a free kick by Fabio Rochemback, but Shay Given made a fantastic save.

Aston Villa - West Bromwich Albion 0-0

With the prospect of relegation staring them in the face, West Brom will rue their lack of finishing as they played to a 0-0 draw with rivals Villa.

Everyone struggled to put away gilt-edged chances for the Baggies, who remain one point deep in the relegation zone, behind Birmingham City.

ahahahahaha!!! panalo, ManU over Arsenal, 2-0, great goals from Rooney & Park, dahil sa loss, Arsenal moves to 6th place behind Blackburn Rovers, lakas ng Blackburn ngayon, matindi ang laban ng Blackburn&Tottenham for the last CL berth..

galing ng performance ng back 4, good combination ni Ferdinand-Vidic in the middle of the defense with Silvestre at leftback & Neville at rightback..

galing tlga ng Chelsea, w/ ten men, 4-1 winners over West Ham United, Maniche was red-carded pero panalo pa din sila..

magiging exciting ang race for the title nito..go ManU!!!
