FF Posted January 25, 2010 Author Share Posted January 25, 2010 am so pleasantly surprised that this thread is sooo ALIVE ! kirilenko also is by the way ( starting at SF for the jazz ) . with AK47 in the starting lineup , the jazz first five has d-will at PG, brewer at SG, boozer at PF and okur at center. hope this lineup clicks long term. in last season's playoffs ... the lakers basically just sagged of the jazz and begged them to shoot. the lakers swept the jazz btw and exposed the BIG HOLE in the jazz offense. FF Posted January 26, 2010 Author Share Posted January 26, 2010 jazz rally past the red hot suns (17-30 ; 57 % shooting on 3's , 41-84 shooting fg at 49% ) with some inside scoring and rebounding ( 58 points in the paint;48 rebounds ). boozer racked up 21 pts and 20 rebounds while dwill dished off 11 assists to go with 18 markers . rookie wesley matthews scored 21 pts ( 10 in the 4th quarter ) to lift the jazz to their 6th straight home win. :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley: imho ... the jazz really need a consistent third scorer to go help out the boozer -williams combo. okur and kirilenko are scorers but the jazz need a shooter -scorer ( think jeff hornacek ) that can open the floor up with outside shooting. matthews may have a literal shot at it but sloan prefers vets over rooks and it would take a tremendous amount of improvement for sloan to go with matthews instead of brewer at the two guard. FF Posted January 29, 2010 Author Share Posted January 29, 2010 panalo ang jazz sa blazers.... with 9 wins in 10 games ... these guys are as high as the nearby wasatch mountains . but the game against the kings may prove difficult with dwill out for personal reasons ( attending uncle's funeral ) and boozer with his tweaked calf. hope booze makes it back though it's a chance for millsap to show he can match / better boozer's contributions.
