lomex32
Do you Gamble money? They say gambling is bad, NO? Gambling is bad if you gamble other people's money .... yeah? Friendly game? There is no such, as all of the players or gamblers play to win .....Gamble for charity perhaps.... Mine to Share : Lotto - 5 combinations will doPusoy 1 and Pusoy 2 - with old time friends ... but now wala na ..... bubuy
if sabong is considered as gambling, then yes i do. friendly game of pusoy din. i think everyboy at one time or another has tried to gamble for money. bad? it depends. if the money you gamble can be either be used for food (or other necessities) for your family, then that is definitely bad. the amount of money being gambled is also subjective to the gambler. obviously, some people have much more to spare that they can gamble millions in one hand of baccarat (or whatever). as they say, once you can't stop the addiction anymore, it is bad. :mtc: Edited October 30, 2006 by bubuy Quote Link to comment

hottlipss
I gamble. What else is there to do if you live in Vegas ei? And I've seen first hand what gambling will do to a person. Gambling addiction has hit our family and it almost caused my relationship with the people I love. The high that you get from it is equivalent of any other drugs out there. But since it's legalized, hence making it accessible, it's harder to shake. Here's my rule on gambling....if it isn't fun anymore, then it's an addiction. When it rules your mood and you can't walk away when you're winning, then it's an addiction. You've gotta set boundaries for yourselfand know your limit and learn to walk away. Hubby and I set aside "Vegas Play Money", if we lose that, thenthat's it...no going to the nearest convenient ATM (actually, you don't need to anymore...damn, casinos in Vegas made it convenient and placed a machine right there on the table  Quote Link to comment
augustmoon
A close friend of mine whose husband lost his job in 1997 and actually made a living off gambling for more than a year !! His game plan was to go to the Casino and play bacarrat everyday (parang office) for 8 hours 5 days a week with a capital of Php 10T a day. If he loses the 10T (in how long or short a time it takes him to ) he goes home - he does not try to recover it. If his winnings reach 10T (in how long or short a time it takes him to) he keeps it na - kung tinatamad na siya, uwi na agad pag hindi naman he plays whatever is in excess, win or lose (and most of the time winning more). Pag may windfall and his luck is continous he plays for the rest of the remaining time basta uwi siya after 8 hours maski tuloy tuloy pa ang suerte. His highest winnings in one day was 280T but he NEVER lost more than 10T on any day. He didnt have the attitude of a gambler na napipikon pag natatalo, kaya nababaon lalo or the feeling na ayaw tumigil hanngang hindi million ang panalo. When his wife computed his earnings (losses included) he actually cleaned out the Casino of 3.6M for 19 months. Personally, I am averse to gambling. Quote Link to comment
willow_boy
I'm averse to gambling if one uses money that's meant for putting food on the dinner table. IMHO, gambling is ok if it's done for leisure pero not if it's done for livelihood. Quote Link to comment

lomex32
Truly The ODDS of Winning and Loosing - insurmountable If i divide my money into 10 bets the chances for every roll of the die or flip of the card will still be the sameThe worse thing though, house rules are made for its advantage ..... There are no clocks at the Casino, it is their interntion to keep people around until they lost their last pennyCasino's are made enjoyable so people will keep coming back....I barely knew people who won and does not come back for more ..... benefit of the doubt Rule #1 the longer you stay in casino the less chance of winningRule #2 Casino monitors people w/ hot streak, impossible na ndi ka ma monitor ng casino lalo na he is staying for 8 hours in the casino, if casino sense or monitored that u already won a lot of money, tatalunin ka na nyan.Rule #3 Calculated ng casino ang luck mo, most of the time pag swineswerte ka, either bumabawi yung casino dun sa naka hot streak at nag kataon kontra ka sa taya nya or bait lang yan ng casino (investment their sowing the seed of addiction) I made money from gambling but not by playing in casino but by operations, casino are just for fun never expect to win, and if u win dont mixed ur winning money with ur clean money and dont forget to thank God hehehe :thumbsupsmiley: Edited October 31, 2006 by lomex32 Quote Link to comment

Rule #2 Casino monitors people w/ hot streak, impossible na ndi ka ma monitor ng casino lalo na he is staying for 8 hours in the casino, if casino sense or monitored that u already won a lot of money, tatalunin ka na nyan.- I don't think this is possible, pano ka tatalunin ng house pag nalaman na you're on a hot streak? You mean dadayain ka? How will they switch cards on a baccarat table? I don't know, but i think the best they can do is let you stay longer and hope that you'll lose your temper and lose all the winnings you have. Also, I think they tend to switch the arrangements of the tables...uhmm..maybe they believe in feng shui? hehe...I do, because sometimes, when I am winning let's say...10 straight times, and then on my 11th visit they changed the arrangements of the tables...I instantly felt bad and will think that I'm gonna lose, which will turn out that I'll really lose. Rule #3 Calculated ng casino ang luck mo, most of the time pag swineswerte ka, either bumabawi yung casino dun sa naka hot streak at nag kataon kontra ka sa taya nya or bait lang yan ng casino (investment their sowing the seed of addiction)- I think this is just a coincidence, I don't know if I'm lucky or not, but my first few visits to casinos really got me addicted to it as I really won huge amounts of money(But I really really regret that now!!!). As compared to some of my friends that they didn't got hooked to casinos because they lose on their first visit. Anyway, as for me...I stopped going to casinos for 2 years now(except when I want to play hold'em poker, and there's no place/people to play with). Good for me as I was able to avoid the only form of gambling that i got addicted and is capable of ruining people's lives. As of now, I am fascinated with Hold'em poker, and I don't think this is that of a big deal, as i join poker games for the thrill of winning, sometimes, I really don't even ask on how much is the accumulated pot on our house games, as I am just playing for the glory of winning. hehe Quote Link to comment
