MODERATOR Alex_Corvis Posted January 27, 2008 MODERATOR Share Posted January 27, 2008 !!!UPDATE!!! Effective yesterday, PayPal started allowing users in the Philippines to withdraw funds to local bank accounts. Yup, it’s confirmed. Log in to your PayPal account and see that in the My Account > Withdraw page, you now have an option to directly transfer funds from your PayPal account to your bank account in the Philippines. Withdrawal transactions are expected to be processed within 5-7 business days. There is no charge if the transaction amount is P7,000 or more but there is a P50.00 fee if the amount to be withdrawn is P6,999.99 or less. A P250.00 return fee is charged if you entered incorrect details about your bank account so make sure you input the correct information. To withdraw, you must attach a bank account first to your PayPal account. Once added, you can directly submit a withdrawal request. Try it now! Go to PayPal and let us know about your funds transfer experience. ===== If you are withdrawing PayPal to your bank account in the Philippines, you’re probably wondering what the “Bank Code” is. If this is your first attempt to withdraw PayPal, you need to add a bank account to your PayPal account first. To do this, log in to PayPal, go to My Account > Profile > Add or Edit Bank Account then fill in the Bank Name, Account Number, and Bank Code. What is the Bank Code? We contacted Metrobank and their customer representative told us that the Bank Code is a unique 9-digit code assigned to a bank to easily identify the parties to a money transfer or remittance transaction. It is also called the Routing Number or the ABA Number. It is NOT the bank’s Swift Code. We summarize below the Philippine Bank Codes that we have collected. We do not guarantee the following is correct. Bank Codes were gathered based on online research, calls to banks’ Hotlines, and PMT members’ postings. A P250.00 return fee is charged if you request withdrawal with incorrect details. Metrobank 026002846 Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) / BPI Family Savings Bank 021000021 Citibank / Citibank Savings 021000089 Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) 021000018 Chinabank 020100113 ***notes* Banco de Oro insists that for money transfers, the only required information is the BDO SWIFT Code (BNORPHMM). We asked for their Bank Code but claimed they don’t have it. It was confirmed that this Swift Code is not accepted in Paypal. We’ll wait until BDO has issued their Bank Code. ** Unionbank told us that they currently do not disclose the Bank Code, instead they only give their SWIFT Code: UBPHPHMM. We tried this but PayPal did not accept it. We’ll post an update once UnionBank has released the information. *** We are yet to determine the Bank Codes of Philippine National Bank (PNB), HSBC, UCPB, Allied Bank, Security Bank, and other banks. The people we have talked to were either unaware of this information or hesitant to disclose it pending confirmation from their supervisors. The bank codes will be added to this post as soon as we get them. If you already have them, please post a comment below. Thank you! info from www.pinoymoneytalk.com Quote Link to comment

Pasok ka ulit at paypal then type the digits that refelcts on your credit billing then you are already verified. Unlike my case verified na ako pero di wala akong access makuha yung mga $ ko hope somebody can help me on this.Iam using citibank cc Quote Link to comment

wizard23
^ in other words, for those not using Unionbank's Credit card with tie up to Paypal, Paypal in the Philippines is still not fully utilized ie mostly one way ang paggamit, you can buy anywhere using paypal and your credit card will be charged. BUT the option as a buyer is limited to using Unionbank's credit card only. Other banks do not accept payment made via PP so payments to non-Union credit cards won't be credited. Juan1
I have used Paypal in buying things in ebay and fortunately all transactions are hassle free up to the moment. One time, what I ordered got lost in the courier. The company returned what was deducted from me. Quote Link to comment
pussyeater
The last post above was in January 2009. Does anyone know if BPI has a tie-up with PayPal, already? I don't have a BPI account yet but I plan to get one soon. Btw, guys, for those of you in the Philippines, I know of a site where you can buy online as an alternative to PayPal. At least that's what I heard some years back. They used to accept COD basis, I'm ot sure if they still do nowadays. They will order for you and handle all the transactions from end to end. You can even buy from different websites and they will consolidate it into one package. What's more, they deliver it right to your doorstep! Of course, may fee sila na idadagdag. I don't know how much but if you'd like to check it out, here's the link: www.e2door.com Again, don't take my word for it because I haven't tried it yet. Browse the site. I think they have an FAQ there somewhere. Quote Link to comment
