If you lend money you may as well expect it never to come back no matter how much you trust the person. Lend wisely.

Instead of lending, just give a part of it as a donation na lang. "Hindi talaga kita mapautang ng anun kalaki, pero ito, tanggapin mo na lang muna ito as tulong ko."

Better lower one's expectations to the point that one will never get some or all of the money back. Thus, instead of lending them the amount they're asking for, "loan" them a smaller amount that won't cause you a lot of pain and aggravation should they fail to pay you back.

nagpapautang lang ako ng sobra sa income ko.. mga 3% siguro ng income ko.. ung kahit hindi ka bayaran medyo hindi masakit. hassle din maningil lalo na pag hindi nagbayad sa date promise... so hindi ako nagpapautang ng perang kailangan ko..

I don't usually lend people money, but when I do... I just list in the water. I don't wanna bother myself asking back for it.
