I used to collect retro Jordans & Nikes since '99. Pero when the soles of my neon DS AM95's, 97's, Black cement 3's, 99 cement IV's started to fall off, I decided to sell all my sneakers bago pa masira lahat and wala ako pakinabangan.

I suggest guys na wear your sneakers, after a few years, the midsoles will just fall off eventually. Sayang lang pera looking and staring at your sneakers. Nike's quality is crappy compared to New Balance & Adidas.

I have several sneakers in my collection. For the ones I got in the eighties, the pvc midsole crumbles as it gets powdery with age. For those I got in the 90s and 2000 up, it's the adhesive that disintegrates so that the midsole, outsole and uppers get separated. These Nike, Adidas, Puma, Asics, New Balance shoes have not been used at all. Is there any way to preserve them? I just like collecting them and keeping them in boxes with those little silica gel pouches.

It seems may mga kapareho ako ng sakit :thumbsupsmiley: I also buy an extra pair just for my collection. Eventually the midsole crumbles even without usage :thumbsdownsmiley: My GF thinks its weird collecting shoes. Its a good thing she has not seen me wear my Nike on bed performing the "deed" :upside: Shoes does have a lot of memories with them - from winning championships, to wearing them while free running in Paris OR to wearing them while shagging this particular gal. I know . . . someday I may have to speak with a shrink about this shoe obsession

I have tried to vacuum pack the shoes as suggested using a vacuum cleaner with saran wrap. I'll have to wait a few years to see if this works though.
