Steve Austin really wanted Ric Flair to be the one to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame, but the company refused that request. Management (namely Vince McMahon) is still upset with Ric Flair for leaving the company, so they don't want him involved in such a high profile segment. It's interesting that Steve Austin would choose Ric Flair as the person who would induct him. There were talks that there was friction between the two stemming from their days in WCW. Steve Austin has either gotten over it or the friction was overstated. More than likely, Jim Ross will be the one to induct Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 25.
