FYI:

Jack TV is still very much on Destiny Cable. Some PPV events will now be shown on TV instead of the cinemas. Raw, Smackdown and ECW are still on the same schedules.

This might be one of the biggest mistake of Sky Cable.

Remving d TELNOVELA / SOAP OPERA 4 men w/c is WWE.

I might change cables anytime.

What the use of having 2 or more channels w/c airs the same shows (AXN, AXN BEYOND, MAXXX, etc)

I want the PRESENT WWE. not WWF/WCW.

Scott Hall Burns Another Promotion, Lex Luger Health Update, The Game Plan On DVD

Submitted by Daniel Pena on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 3:15 PM EST

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- Scott Hall was booked to drop the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship on the weekend of December 14 to Biggie Size, a power wrestler similar to TNA's Hernandez. Hall asked Hector Melendez (who briefly did the LAX ring introductions when he worked for TNA) if the title match could be changed to a non-title street fight because he thought it was too early to be dropping the title to him. Due to his friendship with Kevin Nash, they thought he was playing games and told him he needed to drop the belt immediately. Hall just stayed in his hotel room and no-showed the event. Hall's excuse when talking to WWC officials was that he was running late and that he'd be at the show. Of course, he never came. Hall ended up forfeiting the belt and Biggie Size won it in a deciding match on 12/15. Hall held the belt for approximately 6 months.

-- Lex Luger is currently staying at the Spinal Rehabilitation Center in Marietta, Georgia. He is still paralyzed in both arms and both legs, but has begun to get feeling back in all four extremities. The official diagnosis was that he suffered a spinal stroke. He collapsed in a hotel room on Friday, October 19 when he was in San Francisco for a wrestling convention. Luger spent several weeks at Stamford Hospital before being flown back to Georgia.

-- The Rock's most successful film since The Scorpion King, The Game Plan, will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc on Tuesday, January 22. The Game Plan will be out on DVD in two formats - widescreen and full screen - along with the high-definition version. The movie did a total of $88,649,123 in domestic box office revenue through Christmas Day.

WWE is looking for more Hispanic wrestlers.

Well, it’s not just any Hispanic wrestler. They’re looking for Hispanic wrestlers who are bilingual. With WWE putting more focus on expansion, the value of Hispanic wrestlers who are bilingual has gone up tremendously.

It’s one of the reasons why Carlito was convinced to stay after giving his notice; the other reason being that WWE doesn’t want to lose another star to TNA. It’s also the reason why Apolo was able to earn himself a developmental deal despite having a reputation of being unreliable.

Surprisingly, there aren’t that many candidates for what WWE is looking for, so the company may have to start settling for less if they want to expand.

CM Punk has the most televised wins this year in WWE.

The current ECW Heavyweight Champion had 48 wins this year. Pretty impressive considering there are only 52 weeks in a year.

Second on the list is Jeff Hardy, who had 44 televised victories this year.

For the tag team division, the Highlanders were surprisingly on top of the list with 16 wins. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch had 15 wins.

We’re sure quite a bit of people are shocked to know that the Highlanders had the most wins. They were barely on Monday Night Raw this year. The fact that all it took was 16 televised victories to be on top of the list lets you know how weak the tag team division is.

Stevie Richards is currently recovering from throat surgery and should be back in early 2008.

Stevie Richards injured his neck in May of 1997. During the match, a guard rail was dropped on the back of his neck and caused him to lay motionless for 20 minutes. Stevie Richards’ vocal cords were paralyzed during the surgery to fix his neck.

In 2007, the injury flared up again and Stevie Richards required surgery. He had to have the surgery because it was getting increasingly difficult for him to breathe when he worked out and during matches. The first of five surgery started in October.

Apparently, this was a well kept secret because even his close friend Joey Styles didn’t know about it until Stevie Richards showed up at his house for the holidays with a huge scar on his throat.
