A McMahon Resigns!!!

from WWE.com

It is with great sadness that I announce my resignation from the WWE, effective January 1, 2010.

I have never even considered a future outside the walls of the WWE. However, sometimes life takes an unexpected turn and while it is the most difficult decision I have ever made, it is time for me to move on.

First and foremost, I would like to thank my father for the incredible education working with him has provided and for giving me the opportunity to play a role in building WWE into the global phenomenon that it is today. I am extremely proud to have been the 4th generation in this business, and I am grateful for everyday I was able to work along side not only my own, but the entire WWE family.

Thank you to all of the WWE Superstars both past and present for your passion, pride and dedication. You are truly the engine of the organization and it has been a pleasure to work with, learn from and get to know all of you. Thank you for the privilege of sharing the stage with you and for allowing me to become but a momentary member of your elite brotherhood. I have so much appreciation for the many sacrifices you endure, both physically and personally, to make this business the success that it is. The respect I have for each of you is immeasurable.

Finally, there are no words to express my gratitude to WWE fans the world over for supporting this company through good times and bad and for your unbridled passion that fuels the Superstars’ performances. I am profoundly grateful to have been able to entertain you both in front of the camera and from behind the scenes. You are the greatest fans in the world.

I will always love this business and will remain a fan forever.

Where will John Cena be after Bragging Rights PPV???

What do you guys think????

In my opinion. If WWE decides to put Cena on Smackdown, While it's not completely impossible, it's highly unlikely.

Regardless of what anyone tries to say, Raw is the main brand in WWE. It will always be the main brand as long as Vince McMahon sees it that way. No amount of talk from the wrestlers, fans, or announcers is ever going to be able to change that.

John Cena is the top star in WWE. A lot of people are going to want to disagree with that, but the fact is, Vince McMahon believes that. In his world, John Cena is the top star. Since his world controls what happens in WWE, that makes it a fact.

So, the logical thing to do would be for the company to keep their top star on the top brand.

Another thing to factor in is that if you take John Cena away from Raw, you lose out on a top babyface without a replacement in line.

Triple H and Shawn Michaels are more than capable of taking over that role right now, but the company seems to favor them remaining as a duo. Merchandise sales for DX products have been doing well, and the company would love to milk it for as much as they can before it eventually ends.

Guys like Carlito, Evan Bourne, Festus, Primo, Mark Henry, MVP, and Santino Marella are just not quite there at that level. Some of them will never be able to step into the top babyface spot.

As a result of what happened during this week's WWE SmackDown! tapings, the Bragging Rights main event has been changed. The new main event is as follows:

-Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger & Cody Rhodes vs. Chris Jericho, Kane, Matt Hardy, Finlay, R-Truth, David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd.

---------------------------------------------

WWE SmackDown Spoilers

Airdate: October 23, 2009

- Batista & Mysterio vs. Jericho & Kane tonight is the main event.

- Chris Jericho starts things off. Bragging Rights hype. JTG interrupts, then Vickie Guerrero interrupts. JTG's better on the mic. Eric Escobar comes out, then Dolph Ziggler, then Drew McIntyre. Finally, Kane. Kane & Jericho run down their team for not being ready and set up a 4 on 5 tag match, because Shad is sick. Same stipulation as Raw's 5 on 5 match, where if a team member is pinned, the person who pinned him takes his place.

- 1st Match - Eric Escobar, JTG, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler vs. The Hart Dynasty, Finlay, Matt Hardy & R-Truth. Long match. Hardy pins JTG with a Twist of Fate after Finlay with a shillelagh hit. So, Matt is now on Team Smackdown.

- CM Punk, Scott Armstrong and Teddy Long are in the back talking about the screw job. Armstrong bails out, but runs into Vince McMahon.

- 2nd Match - John Morrison vs. Mike Knox. Morrison wins with Starship Pain. Morrison gives a short promo after the match.

- Jericho & Kane congratulate Hardy and company on replacing all 5 of the old Smackdown team.

- Mickie James, Michelle McCool, Mae Young and Beth Phoenix promo. Young slaps the fool out of McCool.

- Batista & Rey talk backstage.

- 3rd Match - Batista & Mysterio vs. Jericho & Kane. Pyrofest 2009. Batista pins Kane with a spear after Mysterio scarifies himself to Kane on a chokeslam.

- Vince McMahon talks up tonight's main event. Armstrong caved in. Taker-McMahon WrestleMania 26 foreshadowing here. Vince blackmails Armstrong by saying Bullet Bob could go in Hall of Fame this year if he cooperates.

- 4th Match - Mickie James vs. Layla. Mickie wins with a spin kick. And let's just say she's gotten the message from being moved.

- Captain Lou package.

- Cole & King hype Bragging Rights.

- 5th Match - CM Punk vs. Undertaker - Submission Match for the World Heavyweight Title. Punk and company come out with a Straight Edge promo. Great simple stuff from Punk. Taker wins with Hell's Gate despite Punk's attempts at another screwjob. Punk tapped way too quickly.

- Taker plays to the crowd to send us home happy.

Update on the injured Edge:

post-166491-1256191947.jpg

Edge called into the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show on Tuesday. He said the Achilles injury was the most painful of his career and he doesn't know yet when he will be able to return. He noted his contract is up next June. When asked about Shane leaving the company he said he was really surprised and said it's hard to work with Vince and be his son at the same time. He put over Christian, Cena and Orton, and said watching Orton is like watching a horror show, but in a good way. He also said something about buying a house in the Carolinas.

The latest on Booker T is that TNA pulled the latest contract offer to Booker, and that when his current deal is up, he will be done with the company. Booker was not happy with the offer, and that is what led to the drama over the recent weeks, including his refusal to lose to Matt Morgan. That caused an entire TV taping to be re-written. The general feeling within TNA is 'good riddance' as he's been nothing but a major hassle for them in recent months.

-Only thing great about Bragging Rights was Batista turning heel, and beating the crap out of that Mexican Mysterio...

-The Raw Vs. Smackdown was so predictable...Big show screwing Raw. Obvious, feud with D-X in the upcoming weeks.

-Since Orton has no rematch clause, i hope they put someone new to feud with Cena.

Smackdown Spoiler :

SmackDown

Airdate: Friday, October 30, 2009

*The show opens up with Teddy Long in the ring congratulating Team Smackdown on winning at Bragging Rights. He says that later on tonight Rey Mysterio and Batista will have a heart to heart to discuss what happened at the PPV. He talks about the title match at Survivor Series and is interrupted by Chris Jericho. Jericho says he should get the title shot, not Big Show. Long says the Bragging Rights trophy is the property of Smackdown and takes it away from Jericho. Kane interrupts and says he deserves a title shot since he was co-captain. Jericho argues with Kane, who starts choking him. Long tells Kane to let Jericho go, and he does. Long says if Raw is going to have a triple threat title match, so is Smackdown. Tonight it will be Kane vs. Jericho, and the winner gets put into the title match at Survivor Series.

*WWE Intercontinental champ Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler. Dolph tells Morrison that he's the only member of the SD roster that lost at Bragging Point (yes, he called it Bragging Point) and Morrison says he doesn't recall seeing Dolph actually have a match. Ziggler wins by countout after dropping Morrison on the SD announce table.

*Backstage Vince McMahon congratulates Teddy Long on winning at Bragging Rights. CM Punk comes in and says he should be in the title match at Survivor Series and that he'd still be champ if it wasn't for Scott Armstrong's shoddy officiating. Vince agrees with Punk and says tonight Punk will have a match against Scott Armstrong. Punk loves the idea and thanks Vince.

*Beth Phoenix defeated a girl, I've never heard of before, sounded like they said Janie Butch. Beth was cheered by the crowd.

*Announced for later tonight: Cryme Tyme presents a Divas Halloween costume contest.

*Vickie Guerrero comes out dressed like a princess. She says she wants to introduce everyone to her Prince Charming, Eric Escobar. He has a match against Matt Hardy, which Hardy wins.

*Rey Mysterio is shown backstage walking to the ring, his heart to heart with Batista is next.

*Rey Mysterio comes out and talks about what happened at Bragging Rights. He says that he considers Batista family and he's not leaving the ring until they talk about it like men. Batista comes out and asks Rey how dare he call him out. Rey says he just wants to straighten things out, Batista tells him he's giving him a chance to leave the ring. Rey refuses to leave and tells Batista that it was a Fatal 4 Way, did he not expect him to try to win? He says Batista is like his big brother

and he's willing to let bygones be bygones, that if he had known being in the match was going to interfere with their friendship, he would have never been in the match. Batista gives Rey one last chance to leave the ring, Rey won't go. Rey says to think about everything they've been through, to think about Eddy. Batista says 'Eddy's dead', that he's not thinking about Rey, he's thinking about himself. Batista leaves the ring and walks off.

*Backstage, Matt Hardy approaches Batista and tells him to think about what he's doing. There are things he did to Jeff that he wishes he could take back but he can't, and that Rey and Batista really are family. Batista walks off and Matt turns around and starts texting on his cell phone, Batista comes up from behind and attacks him.

*Drew McIntyre comes out and says he didn't want to be a part of Team Smackdown to begin with, as he will be making his own impact. He says the party is over for his opponent. Finlay comes out but Drew attacks him as he stepped on the apron. Drew beats him down. The match never officially happened. Refs comes out to help Finlay.

*The Halloween costume contest is next.

*Cryme Tyme comes out to host the Divas Halloween costume contest. The 4 divas involved were Natalya (dressed as a Matador), Layla (dressed as Michael Jackson), Michelle McCool (dressed as a devil) and Mickie James (dressed as Elektra). Each Diva does a quick routine, Mickie is picked as the winner based on crowd response. She gets attacked by the other divas but is able to take down Layla and Natalya, but McCool gets a kick to the back of Mickie's head in. McCool walks off.

*CM Punk defeated Scott Armstrong with the GTS. Match of the year candidate (not really).

*Chris Jericho pinned Kane with the Code Breaker to gain entry into the World championship bout at the Survivor Series

expect kofi to be the one..looks like they are going to push kofi to the top

This would be a good one, if played well by a great storyline. Kofi deserves to be

pushed, he is talented, skills and all but his mic skills will be put to test here since

Orton loves to talk. This could be Kofi's big break in to the main event scene... :goatee:

NEWS FLASH!!! NEWS FLASH!!! NEWS FLASH!!!

Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff just signed w/ TNA...

Hulk Hogan to TNA

Hulk Hogan sure knew how to shock the wrestling world.

When word spread that the former WWE Heavyweight Champion was going to conducting a press conference today in New York, most wrestling fans just assumed that he was going to be promoting his brand new book, "Hulk Hogan: My Life Outside the Ring".

With that in mind, most people just ignored the announcement.

However, Hulk Hogan was able to gain everyone's attention today when he appeared at the press conference with Dixie Carter, Eric Bischoff, and the TNA logo shining in the backdrop.

The Big Change

TNA is no longer the same.

While full details of the deal have yet to be disclosed, it has been reported that Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan are not going to be taking over the creative department or the day to day operations.

Rather, they're going to have important roles in other ways.

Eric Bischoff is going to be helping TNA secure more television deals and producing more programming for the company. The former president of WCW has more than proven that he's capable of getting television shows created and placed on networks.

There's a chance that Eric Bischoff might still be used as an on-screen character. He's actually one of the better mic workers in the business. He's just a natural at drawing heel heat.

As far as Hulk Hogan is concerned, he'll be used as an in-ring performer on a semi regular basis. Don't expect to see him working the full schedule like AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, and Samoa Joe.

The 56 year old star isn't likely to be an official member of the creative team. However, as we've all seen in the past, he'll use politics and leverage to gain a lot of "creative suggestions".

Just the Tip of the Iceberg

There's been talks that the signing of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff is just the tip of the iceberg for TNA. More big names are expected to join the company in the coming days and weeks.

One of the biggest names being mentioned is none other than the legendary Ric Flair.

Ric Flair has made it well known that he still wants to be involved in the wrestling business. With Vince McMahon not wanting him around, a move to TNA would make a lot of sense for the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair are already business partners through Eric Bischoff's company. It wouldn't be all that difficult for them to bring Ric Flair into the fold.

No word yet on who else is going to be coming to TNA, but the buzz going around is that it is going to create some shock waves through the industry.

Great signing for TNA. Hulk Hogan is no longer a good wrestler. However, anyone that believes that TNA was signing him for his wrestling skills simply does not understand the business side of things.
