guys, ano ba history ni Y2J? bakit may nagsasabing yung return nya is as electrifying as his debut? star na ba sya before he joined the wwe?

Here's Y2J's info :thumbsupsmiley:

Intro:

Chris Irvine was born on November 9, 1970 in Manhasset, New York. He was raised in Winnipeg, Canada. His father, Ted Irvine, was an NHL player for over a decade and played for the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings. In addition to being a wrestler, Chris is a true renaissance man. He is a professional singer, actor, and DJ. He currently resides in Tampa, Florida with his wife, Jessica, and their son, Ash.

The Hart Family Dungeon:

Chris was trained at the Hart Brother's Pro Wrestling Camp and was in the same class as Lance Storm . He began his wrestling career in 1989 at the age of 19. During the first few years of his career, he wrestled in Canada, Mexico, Japan, and the Tennessee based Smoky Mountain Wrestling. His big break took place in 1996 when he appeared in ECW. Within a few months of wrestling for ECW, he was signed by WCW.

WCW:

His WCW tenure saw him feud with the other cruiserweights in the company. He had some great feuds with men like Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio, and Juventud Guerrera. For the three years he was in WCW, he was always in contention for either the cruiserweight or television title. During his tenure, he was given a sidekick named Ralphus. Ralphus was a real life truck driver who was old, severely overweight, and was missing several teeth. Chris left WCW in 1999.

Y2J:

During the summer of 1999, a countdown to the millennium clock was appearing on RAW. When the clock hit zero, Chris made his debut and got into a verbal joust with the Rock. Chris claimed that the WWE was boring and here was in the WWE to save it. His first major WWE feud was against Chyna for the Intercontinental championship. He then went on to have an incredible three-way feud with Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit.

RAW is Jericho:

In 2000, it appeared that Chris beat Triple H to win the WWE championship but he was stripped of the belt and the match was stricken from the records due to Triple H and his wife, Stephanie, being in charge of the company. In 2001, WCW was purchased by the WWE and Chris became a major player in the ensuing Invasion storyline. During this angle, he won the WCW Championship from the Rock but lost it back to him a few weeks later.

The Undisputed Champion:

On December 9, 2001, Chris had perhaps the greatest night of any wrestling career. On that night, the WCW and WWE championships were unified in a four person tournament. In his first match of the night, Chris beat the Rock to regain the WCW title. A few minutes later, he beat “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to win the WWE championship. He lost the right to be called undisputed champion in April 2002, when he lost to Triple H during the main event of WrestleMania X-8.

The Wrestling Career Starts to Wind Down:

For the next few years, Chris was still a star in the WWE but was never able to regain the top spot in the company again. His most notable feud over this time span was against his former friend Christian over Trish Stratus. In the summer of 2005, Chris lost a loser is fired match to John Cena and has not returned to the ring since.

Fozzy:

Chris has a music career as the lead singer of the band Fozzy. It originally was a gimmick band where Chris was known as Mongoose McQueen. He claimed they signed a really bad record deal in Japan and all the heavy metal bands of the 1980’s stole their music. The first album they made were all cover tunes of famous songs that Mongoose claimed were stolen from them. Their next two albums were real rock albums and the band dropped their gimmick.

Hollywood:

In addition to his music career, Chris is also trying his hand in Hollywood. He has appeared in the movie Android Apocalypse which was broadcast on the Sci Fi channel. He has also appeared as a celebrity panelist for a variety of shows on VH1 and E. On XM radio, Chris hosted a weekly show called The Rock of Jericho. In the fall of 2006, Chris appeared on the FOX reality show Celebrity Duets. In the fall of 2007, Chris released his autobiography, A Lion's Tale.

Y-2-CHEAP! :thumbsdownsmiley:

go cena!

Tomko Injured

Tomko has been injured and will be out of action after undergoing emergency surgery this week.

Unknown Causes

As of press time, the cause of Tomko's injury is unknown. All that has been revealed thus far is that he was feeling a bit of pain on his sides. That could mean just about anything.

Big Impact on TNA

The casual wrestling fan may not know this, but Tomko's absence is going to cause quite an impact on TNA's bookings.

First of all, Tomko was scheduled to be a part of the big 6 man tag team match at TNA's next pay per view, Turning Point. He was scheduled to team up with Kurt Angle and AJ Styles against Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Samoa Joe.

A few weeks back, AJ Styles and Tomko left the Christian Coalition and joined the Angle Alliance. They sided with Kurt Angle as his friendship with Kevin Nash deteriorated.

Now that Tomko is out, TNA will have to find a replacement for the Turning Point main event. They have several directions that they can go with this storyline.

TNA can either go with a mystery partner angle where they can bring in someone from outside of the company to replace Tomko in this match. TNA can also go with Christian Cage as the replacement, putting his feud with Booker T on hold.

Christian Cage

TNA can totally add a twist to their storylines by naming Christian Cage as the mystery partner.

Right now, he's feuding with the newly arrived Booker T, but that can easily be fixed. The writers can put Booker T into a replacement match with a midcarder such as James Storm or Robert Roode. That would enable Booker T to gain his first pay per view victory for TNA. It would also give the midcard wrestler more credibility by being in the ring with someone of the caliber of Booker T.

By having Christian Cage involved in the main event, management can script a very entertaining storyline by having AJ Styles being stuck in the middle of two guys that he worships. His sidekick gimmick would produce some hilarious moments where he's forced to prove his loyalty to both guys.

They can also branch out into a feud between Christian Cage and Kurt Angle by having them lose the match due to friction between the two. With the TNA World Heavyweight Championship not on the line, Kurt Angle can afford to take the loss.

Mystery Partners

With so many former WWE stars available, TNA can sign them to a short term contract to be the mystery partner for Kurt Angle and AJ Styles.

Chris Masters, Sean Waltman, the Big Show, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, and Sandman still have enough name recognition to make an impact as the mystery partner. It would actually be a major accomplishment for TNA to be able to pick up Rob Van Dam or the Big Show.

Shelton Benjamin to ECW

In a move that pleasantly surprised quite a few people, Shelton Benjamin has been moved to ECW and has been aligned with Elijah Burke.

The Jump

On Tuesday night, wrestling fans were surprised to see Shelton Benjamin show up in ECW. He was introduced by Elijah Burke, and he ended up picking up the easy win over Tommy Dreamer with a new finishing move.

Lost and Found

When Shelton Benjamin first made the jump from Smackdown to Raw, he was given an immediate push, getting a few wins over Triple H.

It appeared as if Shelton Benjamin was on the fast track towards becoming a superstar. It never happened as he became lost in the Raw shuffle, which caused everyone to second guess WWE's decision to move him.

Shelton Benjamin has been wasted the last year. He's rarely been involved in any storyline of significance. He rarely makes it to the pay per views or Monday Night Raws.

With this switch to ECW, it's clear that WWE has plans to push Shelton Benjamin.

He's always been an incredible athlete that can amaze wrestling fans with his high flying moves. That's never been the problem. The problem has been mic skills. With two legendary talkers in Dusty Rhodes and Michael Hayes available to help him out now, Shelton Benjamin should be able to put it together and make an impact.

What About Haas?

One of the big question that comes out of Tuesday night's move is, "What about Charlie Haas?"

The two had been reunited a few months back as the World's Greatest Tag Team. They mainly worked on Heat, with the occasional match on Monday Night Raw. Despite being short on quality tag teams, WWE decided not to push these two guys.

Now that Shelton Benjamin is on ECW, it'll be interesting to see what happens to Charlie Haas. He'll either get repackaged as a singles wrestler or WWE could simply choose to release him again.

What About Burke?

Another interesting question lies with Elijah Burke. Will WWE use him as an ally for Shelton Benjamin? Or will he be transitioned into a part time managerial role similiar to what Matt Striker is doing with Big Daddy V.

Hopefully, WWE chooses to make them allies. They can even become a regular tag team since the WWE Tag Team Championships are in ECW now with the Miz and John Morrison. WWE can also choose to get the most for their money by using Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke as singles wrestler in ECW and as a tag team on Smackdown.

WWE could also choose to make an awesome stable involving Shelton Benjamin, Elijah Burke, MVP, and Mark Henry.

The Monday Night Raw after the 2007 Survivor Series will forever be remembered as the night that Chris Jericho returned to save WWE.

The Return of Y2J

Fans have been waiting impatiently for the last few weeks for Chris Jericho to finally make his return.

Well, we finally got it. It was well worth the wait, too, since Chris Jericho managed to throw together one of his brilliant promos where he basically trashed Randy Orton.

It'll be fun seeing Chris Jericho being thrown immediately into a feud for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

New Feuds

This episode of Monday Night Raw will also be remembered for producing some fresh new matchups and feuds.

It looks like Jeff Hardy and Umaga are easing back into a feud that they started early in the year.

Triple H looks to be jumping into a feud with Snitsky. It's the first time that the two have feuded, and it should do wonders for Snitsky's push to be involved in a high profile feud with a wrestler like Triple H.

Another new feud to come out of Raw is the one between Shawn Michaels and Mr Kennedy. That feud should help Mr Kennedy move his way back up a Raw ladder that really needs another top level heel that can talk.

In what has to be one of the biggest moments in WWE history, Chris Jericho is back on Monday Night Raw.

The Hype

The hype for Chris Jericho's return has been absolutely tremendous.

For the last several weeks, WWE has been showing vague videos promoting a return. Wrestling fans immediately caught on and were able to do some impressive investigative work in solving clues that were linked to Chris Jericho.

The hype was so high that wrestling fans anxiously awaited Chris Jericho's return at both No Mercy and Cyber Sunday. We're pretty sure that a portion of those who purchased the pay per views did so in anticipation of seeing Chris Jericho return.

Fans were getting ansty. They wanted to see Chris Jericho. They needed to see Chris Jericho.

On Monday Night Raw last night, they got just that. The wrestling industry got Chris Jericho.

WWE did a good job of building up the hype for his return throughout the entire show. When it was time for the actual appearance, wrestling fans were begging for Chris Jericho. They chanted "Y2J". They held up signs.

When the video played, the crowd was absolutely on the edge of their seat in silence. Then, when the familiar theme song for Chris Jericho filled the arena, the audience responded by filling the arena with cheers.

Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton

The biggest buzz about Chris Jericho's return is the fact that WWE decided to put him immediately into a main event program with WWE Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. While it's great that management thinks that highly of the Lionheart, it'll be a difficult situation for the writers to book.

Having Chris Jericho losing his first feud back after being retired for a few years obviously would severely affect his momentum in a negative way. It'd almost defeat the purpose of his return if he were brought back simply to lose to Randy Orton.

On the flip side, if WWE placed the WWE Heavyweight Championship on Chris Jericho immediately, then a handful of fans may complain that it's too early. Then again, wrestling needs more shocking moments and unpredictability, so putting the championship on a guy that's returning to the company could be the boost that WWE needs to get the viewers to start tuning in again every Monday night.

Still Got It

Another big buzz that was created by Chris Jericho stems from the fact that his promo skills are still sharp. He's clearly still comfortable on the mic. Plus, his words came out like they were unscripted. He basically just made up the material on the spot, even poking fun of the Randy Orton's monotone voice.

Fans are already anticipating some mic battles between Chris Jericho and the likes Santino Marella and Mr Kennedy.

TRIVIA:

Aside from being featured in Playboy in the past, Christue Hemme was once a "Juggy" for the defunct Comedy Central show called "The Man Show" hosted by Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel

I agree. WWE should put the title back to Y2J just to add credibility to his return and "shock" the viewers. Kasi tayong mga regular fans know that usually, a returning superstar won't be given the belt immediately upon his return. But doing otherwise would give excitement and unpredictability to the scene.

that would be too soon. y2j fans wouldn't be to pleased with that. but i doubt that he's gonna be a jobber for orton also considering that WWE offered him a main card/event salary. but if ever he becomes the champ i doubt that he'd go for a long title run. considering that there are alot of contenders on raw to go around like Kennedy, HHH, HBK, & Umaga. dont forget lashley which will return this december and of course cena.

bottom line is if they're gonna make y2j the champ, they should put a big twist to the storyline otherwise it would be another boring RAW. :thumbsdownsmiley:

I thought Shelton would be released.

Moving him in ECW is a good move.

Despite being the show after a pay per view and the return of Chris Jericho, Raw's ratings failed to improve over the previous week's ratings. Time to worry.

Jim Ross and WWE are currently working on a new contract to keep the announcer with the company for a few more years. It should be signed pretty soon.

Kristal Marshall has responded to allegations that she was fired because of attitude problems. She claims she was fired because she refused a storyline.

Former WWE tag champions, the Nasty Boys, received a tryout match against Drew McIntyre and Dave Taylor before Smackdown started taping.

There are reports that Theodore Long may be brought back to Smackdown within the next week or two to resume his duties as general manager.

Linda Hogan has filed for divorce from wrestling legend Hulk Hogan. The two have been married since 1983 (24 years). The court documents do not state the reason why she is filing for divorce. During a few episodes of Hogan Knows Best, the topic of divorce did come up a few times. Of course, you can’t really judge things based on the reality TV show because it’s not entirely unscripted.

When WWE asked Shawn Michaels to come back after John Cena was injured, he informed them that he didn’t want to come back because he didn’t want to work the full WWE schedule. It was just too much for him. WWE agreed to allow him to work a reduced schedule where he basically works Monday Night Raws and pay per views. He no longer has to work house shows. Shawn Michaels also doesn’t have to do overseas tours.

Matt Hardy will be out of action for several weeks (as much as 3 months) after having emergency surgery to remove his appendix. Now that Matt Hardy is out of action for a few weeks, there are talks about moving Jeff Hardy over to Smackdown to feud with MVP for the time being. The move would be a very clever move. First of all, it would allow the writers to keep the storyline between Matt Hardy and MVP going. Also, moving Jeff Hardy over to Smackdown provides the fans with several new matchups. If management goes through with it and moves Jeff Hardy to Smackdown, it will not be a permanent thing. He’ll go back to Monday Night Raw when Matt Hardy is healthy again.

Ric Flair is still scheduled to return next week on Monday Night Raw in Charlotte, North Carolina. Apparently, WWE and Ric Flair have worked things out. The former NWA world champion decided to leave the company after being moved to Smackdown. Ric Flair didn’t feel that the Smackdown writers used him properly as he was never really involved in a storyline after switching brands. Ric Flair really wants one last run before possibly retiring at Wrestlemania next year in Orlando, Florida. It’ll be interesting to see how WWE utilizing Ric Flair on Monday Night Raw in the following months.

Gregory Helms’ rehabilitation has not been going as well as expected. His neck has been recovering just fine. The problem is that there’s still some nerve damage that’s actually causing quite a bit of numbness in one of his arms.
