Question po: When are you considered registered for a run? Pag nag register ka na online pending payment and pick up. Or only after you make payment? I mean, Kelan reserved ang slot mo?

 

When they receive and confirm your payment.

 

Madami sites pwede mag-register, pero hindi online ang bayad. Usually, deposit sa isang bank account tapos ipapa-fax o email ang copy ng deposit slip with your name as proof of payment. Then they will acknowledge that you are registered.

 

 

 

 

Just had the meanest 5km run yesterday. Sakit ng legs ko! Inabot ng cramps sa quads ng parehong binti.

 

 

 

 

RU1 next weekend na!

goodluck sa mga RU1 participants. Daan ako duon, makikiusyoso lang. Tapos me running gear sa kotse, malay mo me makulimbat akong 21k na open pa na slot hahahaha.

 

Anybody joining the pinoyfitness Sub1 10k this march 30. Baka me kilala kayong me race kit at hindi makakapunta. Me kaibigan ako hindi nakaregister eh naghahanap pa siya nang isang slot.

By the way, we are organizing a 23km uphill challenge here in our city - iriga. City, Camarines Sur. It will be on May 17, 2014, a saturday.

 

If any of you wants to join, taas kamay na lang. I can help get discounts for your transpo and accomodations. Kung gusto nyo sa ICU pa namin kayo mag stay e. :lol:

army navy na lang ulit after event... mga 7 am pa ako makakatawid ng finish line. hahaha

 

palatandaan sa akin? matangkad na nakasuper bright skyblue socks. nyahaha

 

dalawa napansin kong naka blue na socks. Isa blue sapatos ung isa green sapatos

FR: Run United 1 2014

 

Category: 21KM

 

Starting line - grabe ang daming runners. On the spot biglang nagkaron ng 2 waves which is good na din for safety

 

The route is good kasi nauna ang mga flyover at baclaran which is ang init kahit ang aga pa lang pero pagdating sa may papunta Luneta e lumamig na.

 

Hydration is great at siguradong malamig ang water at gatorade.

 

Claiming of finishers kit is organize din

 

Overall - 8/10

 

Need more training for the 32km RU2!

I was there on race day sa RunRio. Buti na lang kasi ung isa kong kaibigan eh hindi nakatakbo. So binigaysa akin ung kit niya. Grabe ang dami palang tao. For now I think I prefer to run outside of metro manila. I think I'll try trail running. Kakarating lang nung puregrit ko eh.

 

Question po: me nagbigay sa akin nang runrio race kit niya at cojncidentally me nag offer na ibenta ung sub1 10k race kit for my friend. Kaso nasa pangalan na niya yung kit di ba. Pwede ko ba tawagan ung race organizer to have the name associated with the race bib changed? Para ung name na lalabas sa myruntime ay mapalitan.

 

Ang masakit pa eh me mga walkers na nag uusap sa gitna nang kalsada. I don't have anything against those who need to slow down and walk. But I do have a bone to pick with groups who walk in the middle of the road hogging most of it. Pwede naman tumabi sila sa daan diba,. I especially hate those who brought their ipads along and decide to fiddle with it mid race.

 

After several kilometers of running hassle kaya magpalit nang running pace at mag "swerve" just to avoid groups of 5 or more na nag chichikahan or nagdala nang ipad at busy sa kakadutdot. Pwede naman sila sanang tumabi. Ang ginagawa ko sa mga yun eh pinapagpag ko ulo ko na parang wet doggie para makatikim man lang sila nang konting shower nang pawis ko.

- Sad to say bro pero di na pede papalitan yan. In the first place di talaga pede magbenta ng race kit. Swerte na lang din at nakakuha pa siya ng slot to run. :)

- We cannot blame other runners/walkers kasi di naman para sa mga elite lang ang race. It's a fun run event at marami talaga nagjo-join just to experience pero not knowing the do's and dont's. Kaya if we want to beat our PR's e as much as possible e don tayo sa may starting line at if we can sprint agad e gawin natin just to leave the wolfpack behind. :P Tayong mga may experience sa run ang dapat na lang mag adjust and later on mare-realize din nila ang word na "COURTESY" to other fellow runners. Just my opinion lang po. :)

I agree with @thedarkknight. It's part of the event, so we have to adjust. Isipin mo na lang na kung naka-PR ka pa despite the heavy traffic, e di mas magaling ka pa kinalabasan. ;-D

 

Noong 7-11 Run1000, akala ko badtrip na nung nag-merge yung 10km runners sa 21km runners with 5km to go, mas ok pa pala kaysa nung nag-merge na lahat sa finishline. hindi ka talaga makakatakbo sa dami ng tao, karamihan naglalakad. Pero ganoon talaga, so adjust na lang. O pwede din iba na lang salihan para sa PR. Pwede mo naman gawin LSD pero may medal ka. ;-D

BTW since this is only my second fun run, ang timer ba nang run rio eh start to finish lang? I've heard some runs provide you with your 5k, 10k, 15k, 21k time.

Runrio will provide the separate time per category and they will also include the Gun Start time and Chip Start time. :) So kahit nasa kahulihan ka nung start e okay lang kasi ang basis mo will be your chip time. :) Hope this helps.

Ung Sub1 10k napapalitan pa namin nang pangalan kanina. Sana mapakiusapan ko rin yung Runrio bukas.

 

 

 

Masmabigat picturan mo yung GPS watch result with the medal or bib. That's enough proof for FB.

Newbie runner here. May maisusuggest ba kayong routine for gradual weight loss? Ang hirap kasing bumawas eh.

 

Ang alam ko for weight loss dapat may exercise at diet.

 

Try looking up the century tuna superbods challenge of Anne Curtis & John Lloyd. They have a diet & exercise program to get fit. Yung week1 training mukhang medaling sundan. http://www.centurytuna.ph/superbodschallenge/

 

For running, start slow then gradually build up speed and distance. Don't forget to take a day of rest after each run. Key is to enjoy the run rather than over exerting yourself and not liking it.
