nightshade7
been collecting gundam model kits since high school, although preference ko is UC models (i.e. no Wing/Seed/00 models) kaso collect lang ng collect, not enough building time hehe - pati nga yung White Base na project, di pa rin tapos other kits ko nga nanghihinayang akong buuin kasi di na pinoproduce eh mga 80's to 90's na issue sila hehe Quote Link to comment

alloy v7.6
Just started collecting G-Generation Series Gundam Model Kits. Yung mga pandak. Cute kasi eh... Mura pa. I'll be porting pics after I take pics. Hehehe. Been thinking of ways I can improve them though. The only things I can think to be feasible enough for now is the sanding then painting of parts then painting on the designs instead of using the stickers. Anyone with a second hand air brush? O baka naman mas matipid pa kung spray paint? Quote Link to comment

On the other hand getting an airbrush is a big investment and you will also need a source of air, but nothing beats the control and effects available thru an airbrush, especially on a double-action airbrush. We went to SM North last Friday and I remembered about STC. (or was that STS-Special Toy Shoppe) at the basement. Upon entering, I immediately asked if they carry Gundam G-Generation model kits. I was partly surprised to latter see they also carry them but they were in the lower shelves at the back so they're probably not the best selling items. Anyway, they're the only model kits I could afford at the moment. hehehe. I went ahead and bought the Zaku Mk III Custom. I looked at the other models and saw some pretty interesting ones but it wasn't a promising collection. I guess I'd have to look somewhere else. I also asked if they have air brushes. They say its worth 3,500. I saw another one in the same shelf selling for 6,500. Its really steep for me. Anyone selling second hand air brushes? Hehehe. Hmm, source of air... So, I'll be needing a compressor, huh? Any other cheaper alternatives? I also saw lotsa kits there which were water damaged (no box) but still seems to be good stuff. The trouble is that even if they're marked down 20%, I still would find a hard time affording them. hehehe. Any idea how much the model planes cost? (Like the Hornet.) I've got my eyes on those but wee afraid of being blasted away with the price tag. hehehe. Quote Link to comment
dincht
Try the Tamiya Air Compressor+Air Brush for 5.6k at Lils Hobby Center. The branches are Trinoma, Megamall and Park Square 1. For the Gundam kits, you can always go to Greenhills for lower priced kits. Quote Link to comment

Malayo pero kung dadamihan ko bili, silit din naman. Thanks. I think I'll focus on the first five kits I have already assembled. They make me wanna improve them. Hehehe. Will post pics if I remember to take pics. hehehe. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b209/ibanag/Gundam/IMG_3481.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b209/ibanag/Gundam/IMG_3480.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b209/ibanag/Gundam/IMG_3475.jpg Kewl! :thumbsupsmiley: Very Inspiring. dincht
I think the air-art is much bigger that the tamiya sprayworks. Quote Link to comment
alloy v7.6
I see. . . But still, I could use it for such function, right? By the way, I got a crossbones XM-X2 Gundam (baby type) and a left over Black Bosny spray paint. I've been thinking of a Black X-2. D'you think its better if I practice with it first?
