Thank you Sir MiggyE!

last time we played was 3E in early 2000 pa, at paputol putol coz of work schedules, esp ung GM namin.

i've heard of pathfinder, but never played or read the rules. spin-off dapat ng 3.75 kaso nagkaproblema ata ng WOC sa Paizo. one thing for sure libre, kaya marami naenganyo maglaro.

to be honest, di na rin ako updated sa mga bagong rules after ng 3E. feedback ng mga kalaro ko dati maraming changes, parang enticing sa mga beginners kasi simplified ang rules. dami rin changes sa saves, feats, characters etc.

would really like to play again, but sa current location ko, wala talaga naglalaro eh.

3rd edition and 3.5 edition D&D kasi had an Open Game System license, so other makers could make games using the D20 rules. yun tuloy may D20 Present (which was basically Top Secret with D20 rules, but now with the ability to integrate mythical creatures, ala Buffy, et al), D20 past (ages after Medieval to WW2), and D20 Future (Gamma World and Star Frontiers). Paizzo was then printing Dragon and Dungeon Magazine for WOC.

when 4th Edition came out, it was too oversimplified na naging hack and slash nalang siya, no roleplaying. a lot of staff and writers left WOC at that point, and Paizzo took many of them in. thus was born Pathfinder. WOC cannot do anything about them coz they are still using the OGL system, thus Pathfinder is protected by US Law.

nice summary..eto pala ang reason bakit naconceptualize pathfinder. well, anybody could make a new game, pero iba pa rin ang concept ng D&D. How we wish na ibalik ang good old gary-gygax D&D. ibang iba pa nuon.

ang di ko lang maintindihan is the 'hack & slash' concept ng 4E. no offense sa RPG fans na mahilig sa H&S, pero isa sa reason na nilaro ko rin ang BG1, BG2 + shadow's of AMN and IW1 & 2 kasi una based sa 2nd edition D&D at hindi H&S ang concept. I couldn't imagine na gagawa ng D&D ng H&S game.
