Maykeee
city of san juan or quezon city gitnaan ng metro manila. i think both do not suffer extreme floodings. not a route of marikina fault line. "The Big One" is still a great threat. Edited September 7, 2024 by Maykeee Quote Link to comment

Please indicate what kind of lifestyle you'd afford w/ the amount you specify. On 6/11/2006 at 11:50 PM, free2nyt said: Hmmmm, hard to say coz it depends on the lifestyle you want to have... I say you will live comfortably with P50,000 per month. That should cover all your expenses like food, utilities (electricity and water), gas for autos, maid service, driver, and entertainment. You might even have extra for savings... P50,000 should be enough unless you tend to overspend on any of the above especially the entertainment portion... These posts were from about 18-years ago; Imagine the rate of inflation that affects this. Fifty-thousand may have been enough back then... but that won't be the case nowadays. Should a retiree be in good health with no co-morbidities of any sort; then an average of PhP60,000 may just be enough to cover for: shelter / food / healthcare / other expenses This amount is just an approximate; a number of factors may still affect this. jors1116
Manila is not a place to retire, better find a place in the province na pwede ka kumuha ng farm na hindi bahain so you can plant to be self sufficient in some way. Quote Link to comment
oopsies
Retire either in Pampanga or Cavite Quote Link to comment
gyros
not everybody is built for provincial life... a lot of Townships in the Metro where mix development caters to the retirees as well. Condo living where everything is walking distance and not subjected to daily traffic. 60K to 80K should be enough Quote Link to comment
camman18181
Is makati still worth it? Seems like it's overshadowed by BGC. Quote Link to comment
Delta14
Id rather retire in the province living a slow life, farming and consuming what I produce. Quote Link to comment
