Dr_PepPeR
Yeah that's a cool build, Caloyski. I'm glad to see your trend is more toward 1/35 scale armor nowadays. AFVs have always been my major subject for builds. I don't have to worry about masking canopies, aligning landing gear, getting the correct dihedral/anhedral, natural paint metal finishes, scribing sanded off panel lines, fuselage/wingroot seams etc etc. On the other hand, brush painting interleaved wheels and bogies, indi link tracks are a bit more tolerable.... for now at least. Boelcke
Nice M-10 Caloyski! Whats next on your workbench? Quote Link to comment
caloyski65
Well i have a very long list of WW2 planes & tanks to build for both Allied & Axis forces. But finding each and everyone of them is harder than i thought. Right now i'm still looking for a much cheaper RAF Avro Lancaster Bomber and a Japanese Betty Bomber. Already found my M26 Pershing Tank at Lil's Tri-Noma. I'll stick to 1:35 scale for my tanks & 1:72scale for fighter planes & bombers.... Quote Link to comment

Haven't seen a 1/72 Betty yet. Strangely, both are available in 1/48 by Tamiya. Quote Link to comment
caloyski65
A Hasegawa kits is way out of my budget and i could buy two low end kits for the price of 1 Hasegawa. I might try to order to Natalie of JMN hobby store. There are plenty tanks & planes on my wish list at all Lil's branches, however, most are on 1:48 scale or smaller than 1:35. Quote Link to comment

When I see a new kit being announced that I want to have, I usually tell Lil's to put one aside for me when the delivery comes. So they always have some sort of list from me on what should not reach their store shelves until I get my hands on it. If it's a really hard to find kit or aftermarket, I usually wait for a friend or relative to go to the US then I order online for delivery to the US so that they can bring it back here. Sometimes Natalie's husband, Roel, sells kits on consignment in Hobbies and Comics in Makati Cinema Square. Quote Link to comment

Dr_PepPeR
For the Lenten Holidays, I'm working on kitbashing Academy's old 1/35 M1A1 with the spare parts from Trumpeters Panther II. Will post work in progress (WIP) pictures as I go along. This will be strictly a what-if tank since I saw some digital camo rendering on the net and want to deviate from the standard desert tan/nato scheme. Suggestions and criticisms welcome although no assurance that advice will be followed depending on how lazy I get. Quote Link to comment
