Who Is Into Scale Modelling?

Doc,

Its 1/24 scale. I think the small kit is available at Lils Megamall.

It was quite a fun build, actually. I plan to build another one, though I havent decided what to turn it into yet. Others are converting the kit into Yellowcab scooters, Hello Kitty scooters, etc.

:D

Veeery nice!

If this weren't the scale modeling thread, I'd think it's the real thing!

I have this crazy idea of doing a theme collection for AFVs, that is building all the 1/35 anti-aircraft I can find. So far what I have in the stash (those I actually remember) are the following:

1. Italeri Ostwind (currently building)

2. Tamiya Mobilewagon

3. Tamiya Wirbelwind

4. Tamiya Gepard

5. Tamiya Sgt. York

6. Tamiya Halftrack with Quad Mount

7. Italeri Opel Maultier with Flak gun

8. Italeri Opel Blitz with Flak gun

9. Tamiya M42 Duster

10. Dragon DML Panzer 1 Anti Aircraft

11. Dragon DML 38t with Flak gun

12. Academy M113 with Vulcan cannon

13. Italeri LAV with Vulcan cannon

14. Dragon DML Shilka

15. Italeri Crusader with AA turret

What other kits can you think of?

Doc,

Didnt ESCI release a 1/35 kit of the Stinger Humvee? Called "Avenger" if memory serves me right.

Yes Herr Boelcke, I believe they did. I also remember AFV club releasing the 'Weasel' but for now I think I'd limit my builds to guns only, the SAMs opens another Pandora's Box yikes! Thanks for the input, sir, is there anything else that you remember?

Hey guys. Am presently trimming down my stash. Just in case anyone here is interested, am getting rid of some of my planes, armour, figures and other model kits as well as magazines and paints.

MODEL KITS AND SUPPLIES FOR SALE

That is a little sad, it always hurts a bit when I let go of a kit, a book or a tool. But since you say you're simply trimming down, I'm sure you'll have more than enough room to get the latest new-tool kits out there. You will come back to the hobby. The power of the force is strong in you my son.

anyone here knew where to find kits for this AC-47 "Spooky" Gunship....these where Douglas C47 skytrain used to transport airborne troops and materials during WWII and was converted and used as Gunship (3 Gatling guns mounted on the plane's left side) during the Vietnam war in the 60's.

Lil's used to have the Italeri 1/72 AC-47. In 1/48, there are kits by ESCI, Revell and Monogram but so far I haven't spotted one yet here. You might want to try ordering through the internet or talk to Natalie at JMN Hobbies in Harrison Plaza if you really want to get your hands on one. BTW those are nice builds. I can't wait to see your builds when you start to paint them.
