madz_raymund
ahhh engine braking i do that when i approach corners too fast.... nakapag drive na ba kayo ng nasa 5th gear lang, kasi po ngyari sakin yun galing kami katiputan we attended a x-mas party nung pauwi na kami ayaw na pumasok ng kambyo from 1st to 4th gear sa 5th gear lang napasok, i tried switching off the engine then put it in 1st gear, it started namn pero ang hirap talaga ipasok to other gears so nilagay ko na ulit sa 5th, i was like that from katipunan to Quezon ave.. buti nalang walang masyadong sasakyan.. Try mo bleed clutch mo, then try running it again, if it still doesn't work, bleed pa konte ng isa pa, pag hindi parin, then have your clutch check.. baka dumikit, and since checheck na din clucth, pasabay mo na pababa tranny mo, baka may problema mechanism niya..I tried running in 5th gear, kaso trip ko lang un dati, nakakaubos ng clutch pag lagi naka half clutch.. eumorphoburnek
i usually do my own wrenching with the car. but once i feel that it'll be a tiring "DIY session", i just let my trusted mechanic do the job. if the car can't make it to my trusted mechanic, i'll let the mechanics of the nearest shop do the repairs... but with my supervision. 24seven
yeah.. fix the wiring of my card and some minor problems. Quote Link to comment
hitman531ph
Basically I just check brake fluid, washer fuild, power steering fluid, oil levels. I do specify some parts. Oil Filter - VIC (works best)Spark plugs - Champion (a lot cheaper than original NGK and a lot of fake NGKs floating around)Battery - Motolite (Convincing! Other brands I tried do not last as long)Motor Oil - Top 1 Synthetic Oil (has Liquid Molybdenum for superior protection) Quote Link to comment
Barricade
Last DIY I did I did with my car, aside from changing a flat tire and fluid checking was the fixing of light bulbs and cleaning of brake pads and discs.Gives a sense of satisfaction in some way.Makes you feel that you are a genuine car owner, hindi lang driver. simplejoys
last DIY i did with my car: took off the bumper to fix the fog lights (ayaw mag on eh)ayun, bumukas naman. hehehe... but i have to take out the headlights to have access sa mga wirings. ayos! ako na din ang naglatag ng cables for my sound system. budget meals lang yun. Average Joe
most of the plastic top radiators are made by Nippondenso.....i had the top replaced at Denso in Quezon Ave. to keep it original.... Quote Link to comment
jasondy
what's wrong with plastic rads? afaik they're made of plastic so when excessive pressure builds up, your radiator goes ka-poot. better that than your engine. Quote Link to comment
