Edmund Dantes
Naranasan ko na lahat. Syempre kung comfort gusto mo talaga, nothing beats having your own space like an apartment. Or kahit an entire room lang. However, kung ako tatanungin napakadami mong matutunan kung kahit pansamantala lang tumira ka sa dorm. 1. Dyan ka matututo makisama at makibagay. Mahahasa dyan talaga social skills mo. Lalo kung coed. Ibaiba kayo ng probinsya, relihiyon college, etc.2. Matutunan mo magtyaga. Naalala ko the first coaching I ever recieved about dating was from my dorm mates. I was with them before and after the whole thing. Not to mention, it helps when you have people around you who help you deal with home-sickness Eventually of course, I moved to my own private space. Ngayon I live in an apartment all by myself. Living by yourself is a skill you need to develop, especially overseas. And all the skills I have now started in that bootcamp in Kalayaan, Nara, and Ipil residence halls of UP diliman Quote Link to comment

blue+george
well, never had dorm. never had bed space, never had an apartment, just a room yes, well, kinda kinky for me, kasi i had no windows in my room, no aircon, so the door is always open, then just next door, there is a girl about early 20's and her tibo friend, and every night they play... i dunno, but i know, when everything becomes quiet.... something is happening hehehe during that time, d naman ako malibog noon, need to focus on the book... so no action for me, hehehe... i guess apartment is the better choice, bigger and can accomodate people that you are willing to... you know... Duel of Fate
dorm is the most economical. but expect zero privacy. walang gamit ang iyo lamang, lahay pwede hiramin kahit itago mo pa yan. expect din na may lilinisin kang hindi mo kalat. and kelangan mo makibagay sa ibat ibang uri ng tao. super economical to and para sa mga either tulugan or lagayan lang ng gamit ang place nila, mga tipong 80% of the time di naman nauwi like college or postgrad students, first year employees na mas madaming overtime kaysa sa pinasok. or ung kailangan lang ng backup na tulugan pag di pwede makitira with the jowa. room for rent has its own semi privacy but still expect to be bothered, esp kung solo room tenant ka sa house ng isang pamilya. pag lumabas ka ng kwarto expect instant chismax sa sala. pila sa banyo. pag may bata sa bahay ikaw magaadjust sa ingay nila. kawawa ka pag kinapos sila sa budget ikae unang uutangan. ok to sa mga may one yr na sa opisina, or ung afterwork uwi tulog then paggising pasok na agad, and umuuwi sa province pag weekend. apt / condo / bahay mong sarili is preferable lalo na kung may budget ka. matuto ka sa lahat --- luto laba linis, pati mag ayos ng lababo o magkutkot ng electric fan. may certain freedom ang feeling na palakadlakad o nanonood ng tv ng naka shorts or underwear lang not worried na may biglang tao sa bahay. ej_qn
apartment, so all of the amenities are there just for you. Madalas kasi pag room or any dwelling facility for rent na may mga kasama ka there is a chance magkaka "walaan" ng gamit. Magugulat ka yung madalas mawala na gamit gaya ng toothpaste, comb or ballpen ang hindi nawawal.. ang nawawala mga alahas, pera, damit, gadgets. Quote Link to comment

Swatch
Experienced all of them during college Dorm, Single room and Apartment. Iba iba ang character, but if you want privacy without breaking your allowance, I'd go for a rented room. Quote Link to comment
kano_d_great
Depends sa budget. Nung nag aaral, dorm muna. When you just started working, room for rent muna. When you get promoted, get a car. When you get another promotion, and by now may GF ka na, think of getting an apartment na. When you’re planing to have a family, get a house and lot. Quote Link to comment

courtesanhunter
depende.
