Infinity Ward (Call of Duty), Valve (Half Life, Counter Strike), Bungie (Halo, Destiny), Id Software (Doom, Quake, Rage), Rare (GoldenEye 007) and other developers have refined what a First Person Shooter needs, and now most shooters incorporate those lessons, so it is now a big debate that is mostly pointless because it comes down to personal preference. It's easier to identify a bad shooter, than to praise a good one becase good is mostly normal, now. Respawn Entertainment is made up of the former Infinity Wars guys, and they made Titanfall and Apex Legends Bungie made Destiny 2. Id made Rage and Rage 2. Valve still makes Counter Strike and might make Half Life 3. Shooty games be good, guys. Of all time?It depends on your childhood. But I still like this topic in case someone mentions a game I haven't played yet. Recently been playing Fortnite for my shooty fix. My first time playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare was amazing, and they nailed the feeling on both console and PC, so they know what they're doing. Quote Link to comment
