The question is why did she have to cheat in the first place. Probably she is not satisfied with the relationship and was looking around for your replacement. The fact that she engaged in an intimate relations with somebody means there is some strong feelings involved. She wants to move on from you. Keeping her will not solve the issue and will not hinder her from looking around. With this points, if you really loved your girlfriend, I believe one should let go and allow that girlfriend her much sought happiness in another person.

Wow, this is certainly the end of the relationship as there is no more trust between the two. A second chance is fine, but it's torture for the other party, and I don't think the same level of trust is going to be observed.
