mechanical engineering board exam, hindi ako nakikipagpataasan ng ihi sa mga engineer dito. pero hayup sa computations ang mga licensure exams ng engineers. kaya ginagamit na material sa board review and even sa undergrad ang mga problems nila. sh!ttiest question na na-encounter ko sa exam: find the volumetric flow rate of air passing through a pipe with x diameter and y length suspended at blah blah height above sea level. sa actual practice wala namang gagawa ng pipe na nakalutang sa ere.

board exam. 2 days. 2 hot days in may. it was in UE manila. first time ko nakapunta dun... its like looking back in an old manila... if there is an exam that i will remember for all time. it was this one. i feel time was too fast. skip lunch, skip recess, skip everything. importante makapasa.... and makapasa i did. :) i love to see the manila bulletin that day, my name imprinted. it will be there for all time. for once i achieved something good. something really really good.

Geology exam back in college. Announced exam naman. Nagaral din naman ako. Pagdating ng exam pinapila kami sa labas ng faculty room. 1 by 1 ang pagpasok para mag take ng exam. Lahat ng lumalabas nakangiti. Haha! Pero di nila sinasabi ano ang content. During my turn, went inside, sat in front of the teacher tapos tinanong ako: anong gusto mong grade. Kung ma defend mo sa kanya yung sinabi mong grade, yun na yung grade mo sa exam. Haha!

When I was still studying abroad, my Astronomy Instructor caught me sleeping (snoring) during his class. As a punishment he gave me a 1000 credit exam about Einstein's Theory of Relativity (including mathematical computations regarding time dilation :angry2: ). My instructor said that if I can pass this exam, I can skip his class until the end of quarter, if not, I fail the entire quarter.

So, I spent a week (no breaks) in our Library with dusty old books, science magazines, etc. ( I mean who reads these?) since Wikipedia isn't a reliable source. I somehow managed to pass the freaking exam (800 credits is the passing score).

This event triggered my interest and excitement in studying astronomy that it became my hobby until today (except the mathematical equations and computations   ).

Clever instructor!
