I think the name of the store is "LAZER". Pag sanay ka tumingin sa Perfect Pitch or Audiophile--this is the type of store na hindi mo ganong papansinin sa una as the shop seems to carry so many of the no name brands in their display.

 

Everything changes of course when you go inside as they carry a good number of strings,straps and other small accessories. They also have drum kit accessories.

 

If you're facing Perfect Pitch, the shop is about 1-2 shops on your right.

 

Hindi yun Audiophile as that is on the next floor up.

Oooopppss!

 

Let me correct myself please!

 

The last time I went to Lazer to test the tiem was early June. My friend --who is a regular there-- just informed me that Lazer has transferred shop somewher else. Maybe this is why Telemaster has not seen it.

 

I will update you guys on where they are now. Sayang as the store is a good alternative to PPitch and Audiophile or JB. Ka liga nya Salonga's in terms of gear.

Got myself an acoustic nylon string guitar-- an Oscar Schmidt for PhP 2,900. I own several electrics and Acoustic guitars but I don't really have a classical guitar so I guess it was a good time to buy one. The Yamaha Classical CG series and Fender Nylons are on sale at PhP 5,000 upwards so the Oscar Schmidth was a good call --since I'm not really a classical guitar player.

 

The guitar, although made in China-- is a brand owned by Washburn.

 

I gave it a full test and it is an excellent guitar for it's price level. Frets crowned nicely, the neck was straight and smaller than regular classical guitars-- almost feeling more like a flamenco 6 string instead.

The tuners respond nicely keeping the guitar in tune despite the new strings. The finish was very nice as there were no bubbles, no scratches or swirl marks, no blemishes and no uneven spraying.

 

The sound was very even with each string resonating nicely and the setup was alrght with no buzzing heard on all frets. Para sa nag-uumpisa lang sa ganitong klase ng guitar, I have no regrets buying it. Over all, the Oscar Smidth played well and easy.

 

Although I had to re-orient myself a few times that this was a nylon string guitar and not a steel string -- whereby I had to adjust my playing approach, the joy that comes with playing it was worth much much more than it's price.

 

At PhP 2,900, how can I go wrong, right?

pashare nanan ng mga scales and exercises for 7-string, i just got mine and i'm currently orienting myself with the extra special string. it's been with me for around three nights pa lang pero di ko na sya mabitawan. that seventh string opened a portal to new dimensions!!! astig

It's just the same you just have the lower B string.

aside from "the same" traditional scales, i saw something in the internet that broke the rules of scale theories. it kinda sounded good though, ang kulit nung scale bro, sad that i wasn't able to print it. hanapin ko ulit.

 

sorry i wasn't that specific nung namention ko na i'm looking for seven-string scales, what i'm actually talking about is those that are like what i've mentioned above.

Hirap nga maghanap ng strings e. Naubusan na ng stock sa Audiophile & di pa dumadating bagong shipment. So bumibili lang ako ng 6 string na set muna sa ngayon & di ko napapalitan yung low B string. Baka magpabili na lang ako sa States kung di na oorder yung Audiophile.

Sino po ang merong CD, MP3 or tapes ng Backdraft and "Manlalakbay" of Dahong palay? pa share naman please. or yung mga songs ni steve vai or Joe sat played using 7-string guitar. kahit for sale or for share heheheeh paki inform naman po ako. maraming salamat.
